It Works 'Till It Doesn't

Nível 10 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Susan Scannell moved all in from under the gun with 16,900. After doing so, she put her card protector in her purse, stood up, pushed in her chair, and stood behind it while she watched the rest of the action.

Others at the table indicated she had done this every time that she had gone all in, which was about six times per one player's approximation. "It works till it doesn't," she told the table matter of factly.

Action folded around to the small blind, who made the call with Scannell covered. Once the big blind got out of the way, it was time to showdown.

Susan Scannell: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Scannell was ahead, but her opponent had plenty of outs. Then, right on cue, the flop came {2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, giving Scannell a full house, leaving her opponent drawing dead to running kings or running aces for a better full house. The board completed {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, securing the pot for Scannell and doubling her stack.

"I told y'all do not mess with her when she stands up," another player exclaimed. Scannell calmly sat back down, pulled her card protector back out of her purse, and raked in the pot.

Ramdin Triples Up

Nível 10 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Action was picked up with six players seeing the {4-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop and around 15,000 in the pot.

Action checked to Victor Ramdin under the gun. He moved all in for 19,200. Action folded around to the small blind, who put all 48,700 of their chips in the middle. "Wow," the big blind kept repeating to themselves in disbelief at the second shove. Eventually, they made the call.

Victor Ramdin: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Big Blind: {5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Small Blind: {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

Ramdin was ahead with top pair, but would need to fade both of his opponent's flush draws. The {6-Spades} turn gave the small blind a pair, before the {j-Spades} brick came on the river. Ramdin scooped the big pot with top pair, tripling his stack. The small blind collected the side pot while the big blind departed for the rail.

Langdon Makes Backdoor Flush

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

In early position, Richard Langdon raised it to 2,500. He was called by Ronna Tran just after him, before Vasili Lazarou made it to 12,000 in late position.

The action was back on Langdon and he shoved 28,000. Tran called but for only 14,000 and Lazarou also called, he had both players covered.

Ronna Tran: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Richard Langdon: {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Vasili Lazarou: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The flop came {2-Hearts}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Tran was begging for a Nine. But instead, the turn was a {2-Clubs} and river was a {6-Clubs} giving a backdoor flush for Richard Langdon.

Vasili Lazarou could not believe it as he banged the table when the third club came on the river. This pot went to Langdon and Ronna Tran was eliminated.

Ness Hits Unlikely River, Enjoys Huge Surge

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With 14,400 already in the pot on an {8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Spades} four-way flop, Dan Ness shoved for his final 15,300 chips from early position. A player in late position called and while the button folded, the small blind then shoved over the top for around 60,000.

The late position player, who had a very healthy stack himself and had the small blind plenty covered, agonized over the decision for about a minute before letting his cards hit the muck and flinging his lost 15,300 chips into the middle.

Dan Ness: {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Small Blind: {4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

While Ness had top-top, the small blind flopped bottom two pair to go way out in front.

The {k-Hearts} turn provided Ness with additional two-pair outs. However, he didn't need them as the {8-Clubs} hit the river to make trip eights and send Ness all the way to over 60,000.

Al's Kings Hold for Double Knockout

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

After the player to Abdul Al's right put in a reraise from 3,000 to 6,000, Al put in a four-bet to 15,000. He got called by both the original aggressor and the reraiser.

The flop came {5-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, and the player to Al's right moved all in for 18,000. Al made the call with his opponent covered, and the original aggressor made the call with a jam of his own, with a stack of 7,700.

Small Stack: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Middle Stack: {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Abdul Al: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Al was way ahead with his set of kings, just needing to fade running aces to secure the double knockout. The runout came {7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, and the pot belonged to Al, while both opponents departed for the rail just shortly after returning from the dinner break.

Van Den Berg Birthday Ruined

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Thierry van den Berg
Thierry van den Berg

Its the end of the party for Thierry Van Den Berg, one of the youngest seniors of the tournament. He just busted in a gross way.

All the money went all-in before the flop, between Van Den Berg, Behnam Esfahanizadeh and a third player

Third player: {a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Thierry Van Der Berg, {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Behnam Esfahanizadeh: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

The flop came {3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and Van Den Berg was ready to open a new present today, but Behnam Esfahanizadeh eventually made a backdoor full house thanks to the turn {a-Hearts} and the river {j-Diamonds}.

Happy birthday anyway, Thierry Van Den Berg.
