Day 1b of Event #47: $1,000 Seniors Championship is in the Books
Event $47: $1,000 Seniors Championship at the 2022 WSOP at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas has proved to be one of the most popular events in the entire series despite being restricted to those 50 years and older.
A record-setting 7,188 entries have generated a prize pool of $6,397,320, with an incredible $694,909 and the gold bracelet being awarded to the fortunate player who will be crowned champion at the end of Day 5.
Of the 1,439 players who bagged for Day 2, 1,079 players will cash and make at least $1,600.

Some of the big stacks recorded around the Bally's Ballroom include Ken O'Malley (363,500), Alexander Hill (310,000), Mike Fisher (300,000), Victor Amereno (291,500), and Stephen Driggers (277,500).
A handful of notable names were in the field today, including Humberto Brenes, Qing Liu, JJ Liu, Greg Raymer, Perry Friedman, and many more.
Of the notables from Day 1b who have decent stacks going into Day 2, Brenes, Liu, Carol Fuchs, Greg Mueller, Jeff Lisandro, and Antonin Teisseire lead the way.
Players will return for Day 2 on June 24 at 10 a.m. local time. They will play 10 one-hour levels with 15-minute breaks taking place every two levels. They will take their 60-minute dinner break at the end of Level 19 and follow the exact same structure for Day 3 on June 25.
