The players have just been sent on their last break of the day. When they return, the blinds will be 1,000-1,500 and they will play two more levels before chips are bagged for the night.

Some Updated Chip Counts

Nível 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Polychronopoulos Rivers Straight

Nível 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Athanasios Polychronopoulos raised to 2,500 from under the gun and action came back around to the big blind who was the only caller. The flop came down {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and both players checked.

A {k-Spades} showed up on the turn and the big blind check-called Polychronopoulos' 3,000 bet.

The river was a {q-Hearts} and was once again checked to Polychronopoulos who bet 6,000 and then got a call. He then flipped over {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for runner-runner straight to the queen and his opponent tossed his cards into the muck.

Aido Always At It

Nível 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Sergio Aido
Sergio Aido

Sergio Aido seems to be in a fair few pots lately. He was heads-up from the big blind against the small blind on a flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{10-Hearts} when he had bet 8,500 when checked to. His opponent called and the pot grew to around 24,000.

On the {q-Diamonds} turn, his opponent checked to him again and he fired 15,000, which got a fairly swift fold for the player to his direct right.

Top Pair Ho-lds Up

Nível 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Maria Ho
Maria Ho

Maria Ho had raised under-the-gun to 2,200 and Darren Elias called from the button, the big blind came along too.

On a {8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop, the big blind checked and so did Ho. That gave space for Elias to fire 2,100 into the pot which folded out the big blind.

After Ho called the bet, the {a-Spades} fell on the turn. Ho decided to now lead out for 6,500 and Elias called.

The {8-Hearts} river completed the board and both players slowed down checking their options.

Ho showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} which was good against Elias' holding.

Parys Runs Down Aces

Nível 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With around 6,000 in the pot and a flop of {k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, France's Maxime Parys was in the big blind and check-called the cutoff's bet of 2,000.

The turn was a {5-Spades} which Parys checked again, the cutoff bet 7,000 and Parys sat for a minute before deciding to call.

A {9-Clubs} on the river had Parys betting 50,000, which covered his opponents stack. The cutoff sat in the tank for a while before throwing in his 36,300 chips for the call and flipped over {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. Parys flipped over {8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for a rivered straight to the nine to win the pot and send his opponent out of the tournament.
