Peterson Takes With Ten-Eight

Nível 10

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Scott Abrams raised to 1,500 from middle position and a player on the button three-bet to 4,000. Zachary Peterson called from the big blind and Abrams came along.

Peterson and Abrams each drew one while the player on the button stood pat. All three players checked the draw to get to a showdown.

Peterson turned over {10-}{8-}{5-}{4-}{2-} and the other two players tossed their losing hands in the muck without showing.

Bracelet Corner

Nível 10

Stud 8

Brian Rast, Jeff Madsen, and Bradley Ruben, with a combined 12 bracelets between them, surround a corner on one table.

It would be Rast who was involved in the latest hand on this formidable table. He bet enough on third street to put Bob Mather and another player all in while building a side pot with a fourth opponent.

Rast called a bet on fifth street, then led out on sixth which forced a fold. He ended up with {6-Spades}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{j-Clubs} for a pair of jacks. Mather, who had already put on his backpack and stood up from the table, showed {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for the wheel to secure a quadruple-up, while the other all-in player was eliminated.

Bohlman Pressures Stein

Nível 9

Pot-Limit Omaha

Action was heads up with 3,000 in the pot and {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} on the board when Scott Bohlman check-called a 3,000 bet from Z Stein.

Both players checked the {6-Hearts} turn to see {k-Hearts} on the river.

Bohlman fired a stack of around 8,000 and Stein quickly got away from it to give up the pot.

"Defending Champ Takes One From Perrone"

Nível 9

A-5 Triple Draw

Four players, including defending champion Jaswinder Lally, Lou Perrone, and David Williams, went to the first draw. Lally and Perrone drew two, while Williams took three.

Perrone bet and all three opponents called. He took one, as did Lally, while Williams again took three. This time, Lally bet out and only Perrone called.

Lally stood pat while Perrone drew one. Perrone looked at his last card in disgust before throwing his hand away after Lally bet. Lally showed the {5-Diamonds} as he took the pot.

"Defending champ takes one from Perrone. I'm not going to read that article," Perrone said.
