Seiver in Pole Position Heading Into Final Day of Event #3: $2,500 Freezeout No-Limit Hold'em
Only ten players remain in Event #3: $2,500 Freezeout No-Limit Hold’em from a starting field of 732 with a gold bracelet and $320,059 on the line for whoever comes out on top.
Currently it is Scott Seiver, hunting for his fourth gold bracelet, who leads the way with 6,150,000. Seiver enjoyed a late rush on Day 2, eliminating Jan Bednar and Shawn Daniels in 12th and 11th place respectively to bring that day’s action to a close and set the stage for the final ten players. David Goodman, sitting on a stack of 4,100,00, is the closest to catching Seiver. Rounding out the top three is two- time bracelet winner and old school poker pro Steve Zolotow who returns with 3,125,000. Other notables to make the final day include Spanish high roller regular Sergio Aido (2,570,000) and poker commentator Nick Schulman (1,415,000).

Nick Schulman raised from under the gun to 200,000. Alexander Farahi called from one seat over and action folded to Shawn Hood in the big blind. Hood chose to shove his remaining 890,000 into the middle. After some consideration Schulman got out of the way and Farahi called to put Hood at risk.

Farahi Takes Some From Seiver

Scott Seiver raised to 200,000 from early position and faced a lone caller in Alexander Farahi from the cutoff.
The flop came 
and was checked through by both players.
On the 
Seiver led out for 375,000 and Farahi called.
The 
river put a four liner to a straight as well as three clubs on the board. Seiver bet 275,000 to which Farahi responded with a raise to 950,000. Seiver went into the tank but ultimately, muttering "I was gonna snap it right off", let go of his hand to send a sizable pot Farahi's way.

Seiver Makes a Tough Call

David Goodman raised to 200,000 from late position and was met by calls from both Steve Zolotow in the small blind and Scott Seiver in the big blind.
Action checked around on the 
flop and did so once again on the 
turn.
The river came and both Zolotow and Seiver checked for a third time. Goodman was not prepared to go to showdown just yet and fired off a bet of 450,000. Zolotow quickly folded but Seiver did not follow suit. After pondering for over a minute and exclaiming that he "beat nothing" Seiver eventually made a tough but correct call with 
for bottom pair and scooped the pot.
