The 2022 World Series of Poker at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas is in full flow, and the action continues with Day 1 of Event #15: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship, which begins at 3 p.m. local time.

This is the second Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better event of the 2022 series, with the record-breaking $1,500 buy-in edition being won by Amnon Filippi. He picked up the $252,718 up top and his maiden WSOP bracelet.

A host of poker's most notable names are expected to take their seat for this event, such as defending champion Ari Engel. At the 2021 WSOP, the Canadian poker player outlasted 133 other entries to capture his second gold bracelet and the $317,076 first-place prize.

Other famous faces you can expect to see in the field include Phil Hellmuth, Robert Mizrachi, Brian Rast, Benny Glaser and Mike "The Mouth" Matusow.

All players begin with a 60,000 starting stack, and they will have to navigate ten 60-minute levels to bag and tag for Day 2 (no reentries are allowed). Players will receive a 15-minute break every two levels today. Late registration is open until the start of Day 2.

This is a four-day event, with limits increasing to 90 minutes for Days 2, 3 and 4. The plan for Day 2 is to play seven levels, Day 3 will see the field whittled down to the final five, and Day 4 is when a winner will be crowned.
