Punsri and Shorr Tangle in the Blinds

Nível 21 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Punnat Punsri limped in from the small blind with {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Shannon Shorr checked his option holding {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. The flop came {q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Punsri led out with a bet of 250,000. Shorr raised to 625,000 with just nine-high and Punsri called.

The {a-Clubs} landed on the turn and both players checked to the {q-Hearts} on the river. Punsri led out for 500,000 on the river and Shorr instantly gave up by sending his cards to the muck.

David Peters
David Peters

Brek Schutten raised to 500,000 in the cutoff with {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and David Peters three-bet to 1,700,000 in the small blind with {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. Shannon Shorr just flat-called in the big blind with {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} which led to Schutten stepping aside.

The flop came {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Spades} and Peters moved all in for his last 475,000 which Shorr quickly called. The {8-Hearts} paired the board on the turn and the {a-Diamonds} on the river gave Shorr two pair to eliminate Peters in fifth place.

Andrew Lichtenberger shoved on the button for 525,000 and Brek Schutten called in the big blind.

Andrew Lichtenberger: {a-Spades}{5-Spades}
Brek Schutten: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Lichtenberger ran into Schutten's superior ace as the {j-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} fell on the flop. The {k-Clubs} turn left him needing a five to stay alive, but the {8-Spades} completed the board to eliminate Lichtenberger in sixth place for $248,516.

Lichtenberger Rivers a Chop

Nível 21 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Brek Schutten raised to 500,000 in the hijack and Andrew Lichtenberger moved all in for his last 450,000 in the big blind. The cards were tabled and Lichtenberger was in need of some help.

Andrew Lichtenberger: {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Brek Schutten: {j-Spades}{10-Spades}

The flop came {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Schutten was still out front with the better pair of tens. The {8-Clubs} on the turn gave Lichtenberger a world of outs with a straight and flush draw. However, it was the {5-Spades} on the river that resulted in the two players chopping the pot, as both held two pair, tens and fives, using the queen kicker on the board.

Shorr Doubles Through Schutten

Nível 21 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Shannon Shorr
Shannon Shorr

Brek Schutten opened to 500,000 in the hijack and Shannon Shorr jammed in the small blind for 3,150,000. Action folded back to Schutten who thought about it and called.

Shannon Shorr: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Brek Schutten: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop connected with both players and kept Shorr in front. The {9-Diamonds} turn changed nothing, and the {j-Hearts} river looked scary but secured the double for Shorr.
