Coleman Done by the River

Nível 29 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
David Coleman
David Coleman

David Coleman raised to 1,580,000 from under the gun and kept exactly one T-5,000 chip behind. Mikiya Kudo asked for a count from two seats over and called, all other players folded.

On the {6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop, Coleman check-called all-in and the cards were revealed.

David Coleman: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Mikiya Kudo: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The {4-Hearts} turn was a blank but the {q-Diamonds} river improved Kudo to a pair of queens and sent Coleman to the rail. He vaulted out of his chair with a swear word before heading to the payout desk shortly thereafter.

Andreas Kniep raised to 240,000 from the cutoff and Chance Kornuth three-bet to 840,000 on the button. Sean Ragozzini paused in the big blind and stared at Kornuth, who gave Ragozzini an intense staredown as well.

After two minutes, Ragozzini came up with a four-bet to 1,800,000 and Kniep removed himself from the equation.

Back on Kornuth, it was his turn to take several minutes, keeping his gaze locked on Ragozzini the whole time. Ragozzini didn't flinch and kept staring right back at the three-time bracelet winner.

Ultimately, Kornuth open-folded the {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and Ragozzini collected the pot.

Spencer Puts Wiegmann to the Test

Nível 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Lewis Spencer
Lewis Spencer

A completed board of {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs} was spread across the table with just over 1,000,000 chips in the middle. Cody Wiegmann led out with a bet of 875,000 and Lewis Spencer made a massive shove for his remaining 5,995,000 chips.

Wiegmann sat back in his chair and his eyes grew wide as he asked for a count. The two players had very similar stack sizes but Wiegmann had Spencer barely covered. A couple of minutes passed by and Spencer asked for the clock. The tournament floor denied the request and Wiegmann stayed in the tank.

After four minutes passed, the floor gave Wiegmann a one-minute warning. As the time neared zero, Wiegmann finally made the call. Spencer turned over {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for two pair while Wiegmann showed {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for an inferior two pair. Spencer collected a full double up and left Wiegmann on the short stack.

Lococo Makes "Sicko" Call-Down

Nível 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Alejandro Lococo
Alejandro Lococo

Alejandro Lococo flat-called a middle position open to 240,000 and Denys Prydvor three-bet to 875,000 in the hijack. The initial raiser folded and Lococo called.

Lococo check-called a bet of 525,000 from Prydvor on the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{q-Spades} flop, and also called a bet of 900,000 on the {2-Diamonds} turn.

Lococo checked a third time on the {6-Spades} river and Prydvor checked back. Lococo tabled {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for a pair of sevens to win the pot as Prydvor mucked his hand.

"What a sicko!" Jonathan Dwek exclaimed when he saw the hand Lococo called down with.

Toole Eliminated by Pizzari Pinto

Nível 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Jake Toole
Jake Toole

Philipe Pizzari Pinto opened from middle position and Jake Toole three-bet jammed a stack of 1,200,000 from the big blind. Pizzari Pinto asked for a count and then called before the dealer could even confirm the amount.

Jake Toole: {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Philipe Pizzari Pinto: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Toole was dominated and drawing thin when the flop came {3-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, pairing the kicker of his opponent. The turn brought the {7-Hearts} and Toole was drawing dead heading to the {3-Hearts} river, ending the deep Main Event run for the co-host of the Barstool Sports "Cracking Aces" podcast.

Toole fared better than his co-host, Eric Nathan, who was eliminated in the last level of Day 1d after failing to get a semi-bluff through.
