Abro Cracks Aces to Bust Khalilov

Nível 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Anar Khalilov got the rest of his 1,100,000 stack in preflop against Ronnie Abro.

Anar Khalilov: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Ronnie Abro: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

Khalilov was way ahead with his rockets, but Abro picked up a gutshot draw on the {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop. The {7-Hearts} turn gave Abro additional flush outs, and he was loudly calling for a heart, trying to will it into existence. The heart did not come on the river, but instead, the dealer put down the {j-Spades} to complete the board and complete Abro's Broadway draw.

"Jack, baby, let's go!" Abro exploded and celebrated with his rail.

"Eh, that was fun. Good luck, guys," Khalilov said as he headed to the payout desk.

Mitchell Doubles Through Pimlott

Nível 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Robert Mitchell opened to 125,000 in late position, and Bryan Pimlott called in the big blind.

Pimlott checked on the flop of {3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and called a bet of 200,000 from Mitchell. Pimlott checked again on the {4-Clubs} turn and called when Mitchell bet 380,000.

Pimlott checked for a third time on the {9-Spades} river and called when Mitchell moved all-in for about 1,000,000. Mitchell tabled the winning hand with {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} to double up.

Olivier Rebello (in an earlier event)

Frank Weigel in early position and Olivier Rebello in middle position were heads-up, with the latter at risk for the 400,000 or so he had in front of him,

Olivier Rebello: {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Frank Weigel: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for Weigel to hold with the king-kicker to kick Rebello out of the tournament.

Woo Shoves and Gets Remitio to Fold

Nível 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

The board read {6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{10-Diamonds} with what looked like around 2,650,000 in the middle.

Joshua Remitio put in a whole stack of purple chips worth 2,000,000 from the big blind and Jung Woo asked for a count in the hijack. The dealer confirmed the 2,000,000 bet before Woo decided to shove. Remitio looked at his cards once more before quickly folding to the 2,400,000 shove.

"I didn't even that much behind," Woo shrugged as he raked the chips in.

Faulkner's Daring Bluff Caught by Kornuth

Nível 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Over at the outer feature table, Chance Kornuth and Michael Faulkner were tangling in a single-raised pot. The flop was {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Faulkner check-called a unkown bet from Kornuth. Both players checked the {6-Clubs} on the turn.

Faulkner checked the {10-Spades} river to Kornuth, who bet around three-quarters of the pot. Faulkner check-raised all-in for around 1,500,000 and Kornuth had a decision to make. The Vegas resident spent minutes in agony mulling over his decision before deciding to pay it off.

Faulkner knew he was second best as he rolled over the {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, a pair of nines turned into a bluff. Kornuth showed {j-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for a queen-high straight and eliminated Faulkner in the process.

Hagstrom Goes Broke in Two Hands Against Sewnig

Nível 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Jonas Hagstrom's Main Event has come to an end after two brutal hands against Daniel Sewnig.

Hand #1:

Sewnig was all in for 985,000 holding {a-Spades}{k-Spades} and Hagstrom held {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}. It was another classic race with a {j-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} runout putting Hagstrom on the losing end.

Hand #2:

This time it was Hagstrom all in preflop from middle position holding the lesser amount and Sewnig called from the button.

Hagstrom: {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Sewnig: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Hagstrom was ahead but a king appeared in the window on the {8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{k-Spades} flop. The {j-Hearts} turn was no help to Hagstrom and the {4-Diamonds} river ended his Main Event.

Two Down in a Hurry

Nível 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

The board was all but rushed away as Erik Gorman was heading to the payout desk. His {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} was still exposed but ended up second-best to the pocket jacks of Josh Prager, who had turned an unbeatable set.

The next player to depart was Morgan Machina. On the river of a {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} board, Machina got it in with the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} for tens full of kings but Roongsak Griffeth had the nuts with {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} for quads. After the hand was over, the remaining players at the table discussed what happened and concluded that Machina was "trying to fuck him over" with an apparent string bet.

Saeed Spikes the River vs Jewett

Nível 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Matthew Jewett opened to 125,000 on the button and Omar Saeed ripped all in for 985,000 from the small blind. Jewett stood up from his seat to eye Saeed's chips and asked for a rough count before making the call.

Omar Saeed: {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Matthew Jewett: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

"Sorry for the slow roll," Jewett said before the cards came out. "This is the biggest tournament of my life." The board ran out {8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Saeed spiked a ten on the river to score a double up.
