Dempsey Takes It on the River

Nível 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

In a five-way raised pot, the flop read {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and brought no betting action. A {7-Spades} came on the turn and the initial raiser bet 1,500, called by Natalie Hof, the small blind and Jonathan Dempsey in the big blind.

A {10-Spades} hit the river and it was checked to Dempsey who fired 9,000. His three opponents folded and Dempsey grabbed the pot.

Kempe Takes It On Turn

Nível 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Action picked up on the turn in a pot between Gianluca Speranza and Rainer Kempe with 9,600 chips in the middle and a board reading {6-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{q-Spades}{9-Spades} with action on Kempe.

Kempe bet 3,800 and Speranza went into the tank for roughly a minute before tossing his hand into the muck. "Show the bluff?" asked Speranza as Kempe shook his head, taking down the pot.

Zarbo Let It Go

Nível 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Giuseppe Zarbo limped under the gun and it folded to Albert Kinder who raised in the cutoff to 600, followed by the blinds and Zarbo.

The four players checked on the {k-Spades}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} flop and a {q-Spades} was dealt on the turn. It checked to Zarbo who bet 1,000 and only Kinder made the call.

The river {q-Hearts} brought two pair on the board and Zarbo sent another 1,000 into the middle. Kinder raised it to 4,000 and after some consideration Zarbo let it go.

Coin Flip for Stacks

Nível 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

There was some commotion occurring at Table 458 and upon arriving at the table, two players had all of their chips in the middle. Nichlaus Staker had the all-in button in front of him as he was at risk for a little over 15,000 chips.

Nichlaus Staker: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Dominic Staniscia: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

It was a classic coin flip but it was taking place in the first level of Day 1 in the Main Event which tends to grab a little more attention. The board ran out ten-high and Staniscia's pocket queens held up to eliminate Staker.

Small Pot for Larabi

Nível 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Bernard Larabi raised in early position to 600 and a player made the call, followed by Idris Ambraisse in the cutoff.

The three players checked on the {2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop and a {j-Clubs} fell on the turn. Larabi led out for 1,700 and it was enough to grab the pot right away.

Reichard Gets Put in a Tough Spot

Nível 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

After a few players limped in, Joshua Reichard raised to 1,400 on the button. Rayz Rayl was one of the limpers and he re-raised to 3,200 which Reichard called. The two players went to a flop of {8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Rayl led out with a bet of 5,000. Reichard called and the {j-Clubs} landed on the turn.

Both players checked and the {a-Diamonds} completed the board. Rayl checked again and Reichard counted out a bet of 6,200. Rayl took a sip of his coffee and asked for a count before raising it up to 15,000. Reichard needed a moment to think but decided to send his cards to the muck.
