Early Exit for GG Qualifier Okamura

Nível 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

One of the many GG Poker qualifiers in the field has met with an early exit from the tournament.

According to his former tablemates, Motoyoshi Okamura lost a large portion of his stack on a king-high board with ace-king, and ran into the pocket aces of his opponent, Munir Shahin.

Shortly after on a flop of {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Spades}, Okamura moved in for his last 6,500 with {9-}{5-} and was called by Shahin with {a-Spades}{j-}. A spade came on the turn, giving Shahin the flush, and eliminating Okamura.

Gross Gets Paid Off With a Straight

Nível 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

On the river of a board {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, Jeff Gross made it 16,200 to go in an already bigger pot and was paid off by his opponent Paul Lee.

"Straight," Gross announced and that caught Lee by surprise. He was then shown the {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} by Gross, who missed the flush draw but got there eventually to scoop a decent pot.

Wilkerson Rivers Superior Set

Nível 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

David Berck bet the {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} river for 2,000 and then faced a raise to 8,000 by Dylan Wilkerson. Berck quickly called and was shown the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} by Wilkerson, as he mucked the {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for the flopped set of eights.

"I had kings the last hand too," Wilkerson mentioned in table chat.

Nguyen Shows Agression

Nível 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Thang Nguyen raised to 600 in early position and there was one call before the button three-bet to 2,500. The blinds got out of the way and Nguyen put in a four-bet to 5,600. The player in the middle got out of the way before the button made the call.

The dealer fanned a flop of {6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Spades} and Nguyen continued with aggression, betting 12,000 and his opponent snap-mucked.
