Petit Takes from Stahler

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Matthew Stahler opened to 700 and only Rosalie Petit made the call from the big blind.

The flop came {a-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and both players checked to see a {3-Diamonds} on the turn. Petit check-called Stahler's bet for 1,100. The river was the {2-Hearts} and both players checked again. Petit revealed {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for two pair and Stahler sent his cards into the muck.

Choi up Big Early

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

A player under-the-gun raised and was called by Susan Choi directly behind and the big blind.

The flop came {5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and it was checked to the initial raiser, who continued for 1,100. Only Choi called.

Both players checked on the {5-Hearts} turn, but then the initial raiser bet 2,400 on the {4-Spades} river.

Choi cut out a raise to 22,400 and placed it into the middle. Her opponent quickly folded and Choi scooped the pot.

Choi is among the chip leaders with 185,000 in just the second level of the day.

Abernathy Forces a Fold

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

A player opened to 800 and it was called by the small blind and Samantha Abernathy in the big blind.

The flop went {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts} and it was checked to the initial player who continued for 1,000. The small blind raised it to 2,500 and Abernathy took a minute before sending 7,500 in the middle. Her opponents quickly folded and Abernathy added the chips to her stack.

Valenzuela's Aces Cracked

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Joseph Valenzeula was facing a river bet of 8,000 on a board of {9-}{4-}{k-}{5-}{j-}. He called and showed the {a-}{a-}. But it was no good as Hieu Dang had the {q-}{10-} for the straight.

Valenzuela stood up in frustration as he saw a decent portion of his stack carved away to leave him with one-third starting stack.

Queens for Prociak

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

The board already showed {10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} when David Prociak check-called his opponent for 3,100.

A {4-Spades} came on the river and Prociak checked. His opponent bet 10,000 and Prociak tanked for some time before making the call. The initial player showed {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Prociak flipped over {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for the winning hand.

Forrest Near 100K

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

With 15,000 in the pot and {3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Spades} on the board, Ted Forrest bet 8,000 from under the gun. One player folded and the button called.

The river was {k-Hearts}. Forrest fired 6,700 and the button went into the tank for a moment before sending his hand into the muck.

Forrest took the pot and moves close to 100K at the halfway point of Level 2.

Queens Hold for Hicks

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

In a heads up pot the flop was {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and the action checked to Eric Hicks who put in a bet of 4,000 and his opponent called.

The turn was the {2-Clubs} and both players quickly checked to the {5-Diamonds} river. Both players checked once again and the player first to act tabled {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a busted straight and flush draw and Hicks took down the pot with {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

Pepper Doubles With a Set

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

"Too much in the pot already," the table neighbour of Adam Pepper sighed when he had one T-25,000 chip placed in the middle on the {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop and then faced the shove of Pepper for 53,800. The call followed as Pepper revealed {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for a set and was up against {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}.

Both the {2-Clubs} turn and {q-Clubs} river were no threat and Pepper doubled to join the early chip leaders. The same table also features Tony Miles as well.
