Zhi Wu raised in early position to 6,000,000 and the action folded around to Alexander Tafesh who only had 5,000,000 left and he called made the call.

Alexander Tafesh: {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Zhi Wu: {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Tafesh was a favorite and the flop changed nothing when it came {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. The {k-Clubs} on the turn meant Tafesh was only one card away from doubling up but the river was the {9-Clubs}, giving Wu a pair of nines. Tafesh was eliminated in 6th Place for $59,466.

Chan Leaves Onyia Short

Nível 40 : 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante

Amalim Onyia raised in early position to 3,500,000 and Ryan Chan shoved all-in for 13,000,000 total. The action folded back around to Onyia who made the call.

Ryan Chan: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Amalim Onyia: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip situation and the flop came out {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs}, missing both players but giving Onyia a gutshot straight draw to go along with his over-cards. The turn {10-Hearts} and river {2-Spades} were no help though leaving Onyia short-stacked.

Pump Fake Almost Gets Onyia

Nível 40 : 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante

Alexander Tafesh raised under the gun to 3,500,000 and the action folded around to Amalim Onyia in the big blind. Onyia grabbed his chips with both hands looking like he was going to move all-in at the same time Tafesh grabbed a stack of chips to make it look like he was going to snap-call. Onyia instantly pulled his hands back and started talking, "You gonna call me that fast?"

After another 30-seconds he decided to rip all of the chips into the center and Tafesh's cards hit the muck.
