Zaklama Stacks His Opponent

Nível 6 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Pascal Zaklama raised to 2,000 from middle position. The players in the cutoff and the big blind called. The flop came {j-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}. Zaklama made a continuation bet of 4,000. The player in the cutoff made the call and the big blind folded.

The turn card was the {j-Clubs}. Zaklama pondered for a minute before he bets 13,000. The player in the cutoff asked for a count of Zaklama's stack before making the call.

The river brought the {a-Hearts}. Zaklama jammed for the remainder of his stack putting his opponent all-in. His opponent eventually called off for his tournament life.

Zaklama showed {j-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and his opponent showed {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Both players had turned trips, but Zaklama's kicker played and his opponent was sent to the rail.

Taylor Shows the Nuts

Nível 6 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Right before the blinds had gone up, Catherine Dever tangled with James Taylor and they created a pot of around 32,000 to the {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. Dever bet 10,500 and Taylor then jammed for 25,500, which proved to be too much.

"You were dead on the turn," Taylor said and revealed the {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the nut flush. Apparently, he had put on a show previously and that got Dever to fold as she replied "thank you for the overacting."

Nakic Flops The Nuts

Nível 5 : 400/800, 800 ante

The action was on a flop of {q-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{j-Spades}.

The player first to act moved all in for 27,000 and Daniel Nakic called with plenty of chips behind.

His opponent showed two pair {j-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and Nakic proudly tables the {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the broadway straight.

The board ran out clean and Nakic won the pot.

"No Chips, No Choice" Double for Tran

Nível 5 : 400/800, 800 ante

Heads-up to the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} turn, Tai Tran jammed for just 12,900 and was snap-called by Lance Ha.

Tran tabled the {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a gutshot and the nut flush draw while Ha was ahead with the {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for nines and eights. The {4-Hearts} river completed the flush and Tran exclaimed "Yes! No chips, no choice" after his successful double.

Pahuja in the Mix

Nível 5 : 400/800, 800 ante

In the sea of players in the Brasilia room is also East Coast grinder Vinny Pahuja, who can be found in the purple section. The start into Day 1c hasn't been quite promising yet for Pahuja, who was just spotted in a small pot. He raised it up to 2,000 and was called by the player in the big blind. The flop brought {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and as soon as Pahuja continued for 2,100, his opponent check-folded.

Also featured on the table is Christopher Mcnulty, who has already chipped up early on.
