Anthony Zinno has been picking up pots and building momentum in Day 1 action. Zinno's incredible run includes victories in the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. event and the $1,500 Seven Card Stud event, both in the last seven days. He is looking to add his name to the list of players that have won a record three WSOP gold bracelets in one year.
The field has grown to over 250 players, including four-time bracelet winner Eli Elezra looking for his third cash of the 2021 World Series. Cary Katz has also taken his seat, searching for career WSOP cash number 50.

According to an observer, Lexy Gavin has been knocked out of the tournament.
Gavin made a set of kings, but her opponent went runner-runner to make a flush and she was knocked out of the tournament mid-way through Day 1.

Daniel Negreanu has taken a seat to try and win his seventh bracelet in the $3,000 H.O.R.S.E. event. Negreanu has cashed five times at the WSOP 2021 with a deep run to 10th in the $25,000 H.O.R.S.E. event.
