Edson "CrownUpTsu" Tsutsumi Jr Leads the Final Nine of Event #27: $5,000 MAIN EVENT Online Championship

After a staggering 27 Day 1's, which brought a total of 4,092 entries, the final table of Event #27: $5,000 MAIN EVENT Online Championship is set, with Brazil's own Edson "CrownUpTsu" Tsutsumi Jr. leading the pack.
Day 2 began with 560 survivors from previous Day 1's and quickly increased to 720 as the final Day-1 qualifiers did not get to enter until after Day 2 had already started due to an overlap between the tournaments. The tournament ultimately fell just shy of its lofty $20,000,000 guarantee.

Notables and GG ambassadors were aplenty to start the day, including Felipe Ramos, Michael Addamo, Chris Moorman, Kitty Kuo, Georgios Sotiropoulos, Lucas and Sam Greenwood, and Kahle Burns, just to name a few.
Eliminations on Day 2 came fast and furious and the field was whittled down to the money bubble within four levels. Brian "Kommon34" Fairfax would end up being the bubble boy in 451st place after he flopped a pair of nines and decided to go with it against what ended up being the pocket kings of "yoellalaska" and failing to improve.
The knockouts continued to accelerate after the bubble burst, with many short stacks having secured a min-cash. Among those who snuck into the money were Shawn Buchanan, Elio Fox, Mark Radoja, and David Peters before being eliminated.
By level 17, just three tables remained, with Dawid Smolka, Mike Leah, Espen "COVFEFE-19" Jorstad, Matthew "Un Gamja!" Wakeman, Joe "assisup4rent" Serock, and Day-1 chip leader Luigi "shadinho94" Shedhadeh still in contention.
Jorstad found himself as the chip leader at various points but found himself losing several medium-sized pots, particularly to Christine "Yunaa" Do, who doubled through Jorstad on two different occasions during the race to the final table. Do, who will enter the final table fifth in chips, is the second woman in consecutive years to final table the GGPoker $5,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event. Last year, Wenling Gao finished runner up in the 2020 GGPoker $5,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event.
Eventually, the final table was set after Nicolo "Do-WhatYou-lov3" Bartolone found himself all in preflop with ace-king and getting out flopped by the jack-ten of Aleksei "Ha KoJleHu" Vandyshev.
