Kahle Burns Bags Monster WSOP Online Main Event Chip Lead on Day 1L

2020 Aussie Millions A$100K Challenge Winner Kahle Burns
2020 Aussie Millions A$100K Challenge Winner Kahle Burns

The $25,000,000 guaranteed Event #77: $5,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event with a total of 23 starting flights is now a little over a week underway. On Monday's second flight of the day, just eight players advanced out of a field of 88. It was a stacked line-up making it through with none other than Kahle Burns bagging by far the biggest stack of the Main Event thus far.

The Australian high roller, ranked #18 on the GPI list and sporting over $10M in lifetime cashes according to his Hendon Mob, ended the day with 1,387,292 in chips, dwarfing his competitors. Among those surviving Burns' onslaught were Arsenii "kastaban" Karmatckii (678,259) and Pavel "EzzzGame" Plesuv (623,230), who claimed strong stacks as well.

More notables made it through as Igor "betcheckbet" Kurganov, Mike Leah, and Simon "FiestaPagana" Mattsson also advanced to Day 2 on Sunday, August 30. Chance Kornuth, Daniel Negreanu (who now has one bullet left), Jens "Tankanza" Lakemeier, Alex Papazian, Marle Cordeiro, Pavlo Veksler, Nick Schulman, Andras Nemeth, and Timothy Adams were among those that came up short and will have to try in a subsequent flight.

The next two starting flights will be Day 1M and 1N on Tuesday, August 25.
