Guay Flops a House

A completed board of {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades} was spread across the felt with Nicholas Marchington and David Guay heads-up in the pot. Marchington led out for 525,000 into a pot of around 800,000.

Guay slid out a raise to 1,880,000 and Marchington went into the tank for a couple of minutes before making the call. Guay turned over {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for a full house and Marchington mucked his cards.

Antonio Esfandiari raised from early position, Daniel Kirsch three-bet shoved from the small blind for his remaining 400,000-ish and Esfandiari called with {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, leading Kirsch's {a-}{7-}.

The board ran out clean for Esfandiari, ending Kirsch's run in 100th place.

Karakikov Doubles Through Duthweiler

Tobias Duthweiler opened for 160,000 from the hijack and Pavlin Karakikov just called from the big blind to see a {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} flop.

Karakikov checked, Duthweiler bet 140,000, and Karakikov check-raised all in for 960,000. Duthweiler wasted little time in making the call and the hands were turned up.

Karakikov had flopped top set but Duthweiler had a pair with a straight draw. The {2-Diamonds} turn gave Duthweiler an added flush draw but he missed when the {6-Clubs} bricked the river.

Su Gets a Check-Raise Paid

On a completed board of {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}, small blind Timothy Su checked and Alex Livingston bet 425,000 into about 900,000. Su came out with a check-raise to 1.55 million and Livingston thought about a minute then slid in a call.

Su showed {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for trips and took it down.

Johnathan Dempsey raised to 160,000 on the button and Carl Shaw three-bet to 700,000. Dempsey was in the think tank and moved all in, Shaw called it off for his last 1,600,000.

Dzivielevski Takes From Rand

Yuri Dzivielevski defended out of the blinds and check-called a bet of 205,000 by Kevin Rand on the {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop. They checked the {a-Hearts} turn and Dzivielevski bet the {q-Clubs} river for 875,000. Rand raised to 2,100,000 and Dzivielevski called.

Rand announced an eight and tabled the {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, while Dzivielevski had a straight with the {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

Robert Heidorn elected to raise from the big blind to 300,000.

Hachem thought for a few moments, then splashed out a three-bet to 1,200,000.

"1.2?" asked Heidorn before he took about 30 seconds before folding.

Lu Looking Up

The flop read {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{a-Spades}, Henry Lu checked his big blind and Michael Kapernaros bet 230,000 from the cutoff. Gabe Patgorski folded his button and Lu made the call.

They both checked through the {9-Clubs} on the turn to the {a-Hearts} on the river. Lu bet 300,000 and Kapernaros called after contemplating for a while but mucked when Lu tabled {a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for trip aces.
