Veksler Rivers Two Pair

Nível 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Nick Guagenti checked from the big blind on the river of the {5-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Spades} board and Pavlo Veksler fired 72,000 from middle position, making it roughly a pot-sized bet.

Guagenti spent some time processing his decision and then he called. Veksler tabled {9-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for two pair and Guagenti mucked.

Igin Forces Fold from Campbell

Nível 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

On a table that also includes Chris Moneymaker, Viacheslav Igin and Roger Campbell headed to the {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop and Igin checked. Campbell in the cutoff led for 60,000 and Igin asked to see his remaining stack before tossing in five T-100,000 chips.

Campbell needed half a minute and sent his cards to the muck with the words "that's a good bet."

Thomas Boivin
Thomas Boivin

Thomas Boivin completed the blind and Alex Foxen checked. The board ran out {7-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} with only a min-bet from Boivin and a call on the turn going into the pot. Boivin came to life with a large bet of 75,000, well over the pot. Foxen tanked until a clock was called, then he flicked in a chip.

Boivin showed {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for aces full.

Saul Raising the Pressure on Bubble

Nível 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Kevin Saul had a tower of T25,000 chips in front of him, enough to set an opponent in early position all in. Saul was in the small blind on {8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} and had bet effectively about 250,000, an overbet into a pot of about 150,000. His opponent smiled as they exchanged banter, and he tanked for several minutes before releasing. Saul asked if he laid down ace-king and the player answered in the negative as if shocked that was the hand to pop into Saul's mind.

Demers Fades Lethal Outs Before Bubble

Nível 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

On a flop of {6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}, Alex Fortin Demers was on the button, facing a bet of 18,000 from a player under the gun. Demers ripped in his last 85,000 and the other player tanked for a while before deciding to go for it.

Demers flopped the top set with {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}, but the hand was far from having been decided with the other player showing {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

Demers needed to fade tens and fives and he did so on the {k-Spades} and {a-Clubs} river, securing a double up.

Bohn Checks it Back

Nível 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Blake Bohn opened the action, making it 15,000 from the cutoff. Yudi Jaswal called from the big blind and they went heads up to the flop.

On a {10-Spades}{2-Spades}{q-Clubs} board, Bohn continued for 18,000 in position, which Jaswal check-called. The turn was a {9-Spades} and Bohn barreled again, increasing the price to 90,000, which Jaswal check-tank-called.

The {j-Diamonds} completed the board and when Jaswal checked again, Bohn opted to check it back. Jaswal turned over {k-Spades}{6-Spades} for a turned flush and Bohn said that he had the straight, before mucking his cards.

Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

Joseph Cheong won another nice pot after quickly calling a river bet of 125,000 from his opponent and turning over the winning two pair hand with {5-Clubs}{4-Spades}. His opponent showed a bluff leaving Cheong to gather a large pot and bring his stack toward the top of the chip counts as the bubble looms.
