Govea Takes From Davies

Nível 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Seth Davies opened the action with a raise from early position and saw Freddy Govea call from the cutoff.

The flop fell {6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{a-Spades}, and Davies check-called a 3,800 bet from Govea.

Both players checked after they saw the {5-Spades} fall on the turn, and when the {j-Diamonds} appeared on the river, Davies bet small for 1,600.

Govea paused for a few seconds before he threw two 5,000 chips into the middle as a raise, and Davies gave up.

The player under the gun limped along with Kathy Liebert from middle position. The hijack raised to 5,500 and the player under the gun folded. Liebert responded by three-betting to 18,600. Her opponent stuck around with a call.

The flop fell {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Liebert fired 20,000. Her opponent called.

The turn came the {3-Hearts} and Libert continued with a bet of 40,000. Her opponent thought for a long while, but opted to give up his hand.

Hou Toasts an Opponent

Nível 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The player on the button was all in with action on the river in a side pot between Brian Hou in middle position and the player to his left, who was in the hijack.

There was around 35,000 in the pot and the board read {q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{k-Clubs}{8-Spades}. Hou put out a bet and the hijack folded.

Hou tabled {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and the all-in player showed {a-Spades}{q-Spades}, resulting in Hou's turned pair of kings trumping the player on the button's flopped pair of queens, ending his day as Hou finds himself north of the 100,000-mark.

Jacks? Jacks No Good

Nível 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Fernando Brito checked a {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop to a single opponent who bet 4,500. Brito called and the pair checked the {9-Diamonds} turn. The river was the {k-Hearts}.

Brito bet 10,500 and his opponent considered his options before calling. Brito showed {j-Clubs}{9-Spades} for trip nines and his opponent inexplicably flipped {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} face up on the table.

With memories of David Balkin's classic "You lost bro" hand from the 2012 WSOP ringing in everyone's ears, it took a tablemate muttering "He's got a nine," for his opponent to muck his hand and for Brito to take down the pot.

Lisle Wins a Pot

Nível 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The player in the big blind checked to Ricky Guan who sat under the gun on the {k-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{q-Spades} board. Guan bet 4,000 and he was called by Eric Lisle from early position. The player in the big blind called as well.

The river was the {7-Hearts} and it checked to Lisle who bet 14,300. He was called by the player in the big blind but not by Guan. Lisle showed {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and that won him the pot.
