Weir Leads Out, Shuts Down Hall

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Facing an under-the-gun open to 1,300 and three callers, Galen Hall three-bet to 6,500 from the big blind. The move produced three folds, but Robert Weir overcalled from the small blind and the two went heads-up to the flop.

The board came out {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, and Weir led out for 40,000. This bet sent Hall deep into the tank, and after a few minutes Hall gave it up.

One Raise from Baumstein Gets the Job Done

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

With around 14,000 in the middle and the board reading {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{k-Spades}, Scott Baumstein was facing a bet of 7,000 from his opponent in early position.

Baumstein raised to 22,000 on the button and his opponent dipped into the tank for a couple of minutes before sending his cards to the muck.

Garcia Makes the Jack-Three Work

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Cord Garcia raised to 1,600 from the hijack, and was called by the cutoff as well as the big blind.

On the {3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} flop, the big blind checked to Garcia, who bet 2,100. Both the cutoff and big blind called.

The big blind checked again on the {j-Clubs} turn, and Garcia bet 5,200. Only the cutoff called.

Garcia bet 12,800 once the {6-Diamonds} fell on the river, and the cutoff called again.

"Jack-three," Garcia said, before tabling {j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. The cutoff turned his {k-Spades}{10-Spades} up on the felt before mucking.

Franklin Gets Paid with Aces Full

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

A player raised under-the-gun to 2,300 and Ryan Franklin three-bet to 6,000 next to act, the action folded around to Vanessa Kade in the big blind who called and the under-the-gun player called as well.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} and all three players checked. The {4-Hearts} hit the turn, Kade checked, the middle player bet out 7,000 and only Franklin called.

The river was the {8-Diamonds}, Franklin's opponent checked and he fired out 33,000. The opponent went in the tank for a while and eventually splashed in a 25,000 chip and two 5,000 chips to call. Franklin tabled {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} for aces full of fours and his opponent's cards hit the muck.

Lodge From Almost Zero to Starting Stack

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

On a three-way flop of {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, Marius Gierse in the big blind, Scott Margereson in the cutoff and Harry Lodge on the button invested 8,000 chips. Gierse bet the {k-Hearts} turn for 6,000 and picked up two calls before checking the {8-Spades} river. Margereson also checked and Lodge bet 4,700 with one T-100 chip behind.

Gierse called and Margereson sent his cards into the muck. Lodge turned over {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a flush and climbed back to the starting stack.

"Two hands ago I had 7,000," the Brit added with a bright smile on the face.

Leng Doubles

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante
Ryan Leng (from a previous event)
Ryan Leng (from a previous event)

Ryan Leng opened under the gun and was three-bet to 2,500 preflop by Guillermo Bella, which he called.

The {7-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} flop went check-check and the dealer put a {10-Clubs} on the turn. Leng check-called a 1,200 bet and the rivercard came the {j-Clubs}. Leng moved all in for 7,500 and Bella liked the price.

Ryan Leng: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Guillermo Bella: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Bella's two pair wasn't good enough to beat Leng's broadway and Leng, though still short, has a little more wiggle room now.

Vogelsong Looked Up Again, Wins With Flush

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Christoph Vogelsang was found with a bet of 11,500 in front of him on the river on a board of {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts}. He was in the small blind and bet into the player on the button, the same player who had looked him up the very hand before when Vogelsang won with a pair of jacks.

"What'd you hit, a flush again?" Vogelsang's opponent asked as he dropped chips in the middle to call.

Vogelsang tabled {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, confirming that he had, in fact, hit a flush "again."

The entire side of the table that the two players were on erupted into laughter about the situation as Vogelsang collected his newly acquired chips.

"Nice hand," his opponent added quietly to him as the excitement died down and the dealer began to pitch the cards to begin the next hand.
