Zhang Makes Aces Up

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

There was around 24,000 in the pot on a board of {6-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} between a player in the big blind and Rotus Haoran Zhang in middle position. The big blind bet 21,000 and Zhang thought for a couple minutes. Eventually, he tossed in a call.

His opponent tabled {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a pair of kings.

"Ace-king" Zhang said, somewhat bewildered as he tabled his top two pair for the winning hand. "Sorry for taking so long," he added as he raked in the pot and added to his stack.

McCabe Gets Paid

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

With the full {q-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} board on the felt, Kevin Buck tossed in a bet of 6,000 into a pot of around 20,000 from the small blind. Benjamin McCabe raised to 16,000, and Buck looked a bit suspicious, but called anyways. McCabe tabled {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for trip kings, and Buck mucked.

"That was a fun one," McCabe said as he stacked up his newfound chips.

Christian Harder
Christian Harder

Christian Harder over-limped and faced a raise to 3,000 of Gary Blackwood from one seat over. Parker Talbot on the button called and the initial limper came along. Harder then moved all in for 18,100 and picked up calls from Blackwood and Talbot.

On the {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop, Talbot bet 12,500 when check to him and the {j-Hearts} turn was checked. Blackwood then led the {4-Spades} river for 32,500. Talbot reluctantly folded and gasped a "fuck" when he saw a chop between the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} of Blackwood and Harder’s {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}.

"I got one percent of you now, right?" Blackwood joked to Harder.

Raghavan Squeezes Out the Field

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

A player raised to 1,100 from early position, and was called by a player in middle position, as well as the button.

Ravi Raghavan had other ideas in the big blind, three-betting to 8,500 and leaving himself around 24,500 behind. The early position raiser tank-folded, and the other two foes were much quicker in tossing their hands in the muck.

Vitch Tripped Up

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Action folded to Chris Vitch on the button, and he raised as the big blind called.

The flop landed {10-Spades}{k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and the big blind check-called a bet of 1,000 from Vitch.

Both players checked through the {9-Hearts} on the turn, and when the river landed the {a-Hearts} and the big blind checked, Vitch elected to bet 2,200.

The big blind instantly called, and after Vitch tabled his {j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, the big blind revealed his winning {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

Bolden Bets Out Bondar

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Andrey Bondar raised and called a hefty three-bet to 3,200 by Kenneth Bolden to see a {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop. Bondar checked, Bolden continued for 3,400 and the Russian called.

The same action repeated on the {4-Clubs} turn for 5,000 and Bondar also checked the {q-Hearts} on the river. Bolden now made it 10,000 to go and that proved to be too much for Bondar. Fellow countryman Artur Voskanyan, a well-known host of poker tournaments in Russia, can also be found at the same table.

"I Got Lucky"

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Ron West had {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} tabled on a board of {4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and was in the process of having his chips counted after securing a double up against an opponent's {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

West offered a recap of how the hand happened as the dealer was squaring up with his opponent. West raised from middle position and received a call from a player in position. The player in the small blind three-bet to 5,100 and West called. Action went heads up to the eight-high flop and the small blind bet 8,000.

After that, West narrated: "I shoved all in, he tank-called, and I got lucky."

"Make sure you put that part," West added about the stroke of good fortune.

Long Lost Brothers Kessler and Varkonyi Reunite

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Between hands, Allen Kessler spotted someone he knew on the rail near his Amazon 510 table. Identifying this person as his brother, he called out to his family member.

It turned out to be none other than Robert Varkonyi, the 2002 WSOP Main Event Champion, who could bear a physical resemblance to Kessler in the eyes of some.

"Hi Allen, how are you?" said Varkonyi in a deadpan voice. The conversation didn't go any further and the Main Event returned to normal shortly thereafter.
