Wisehart Busts a Player, Gets 'Angry' Clap

Nível 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Just before the break, Butch Wisehart added 400,000 to his stack busting a button raising player. Wisehart called her shove with {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}; she showed down {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {j-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{8-Spades}{10-Hearts}{a-Clubs}, the ace on the river no good against Wisehart's set of tens.

A keen railbird of the eliminated player clapped once, impressively, reverberatingly loudly - she explained with a laugh that it was an "angry clap" on her behalf from a friend.

Nezhoda among the Chip Leaders

Nível 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Rene Nezhoda has climbed close to the top of the counts, with a watching player kind enough to provide the information on how he did so: Rene Nezhoda limped under the gun, the small blind made the call and the big blind checked. The flop was {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and it was checked around.

The turn was the {4-Clubs} and the small blind bet 200,000. The big blind tanked before making the call and Zezhoda reraised it to 550,000. The small blind made the call.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and the small blind moved all in for 550,000 and Neahoda made the call.

Nezhoda: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The full house of Nezhoda eliminated another player from the field.

Davies Building his Chip Count

Nível 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

A player in early position raised it to 200,000 and Scott Davies in the cutoff reraised all in for 1.1 million and it folded to the original raiser who put his remaining 100,000 in the middle.

Scott Davies: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Opponent: {k-Spades}{8-Spades}

The board ran out {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{5-Clubs} and with that Davies builds his stack to over one million in chips.

Hills Climbing

Nível 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Andrew Christopher Hills
Andrew Christopher Hills

Andy Hills, British globetrotting tournament player, has collected several cashes in WSOP events prior to 2019 (and many, many more around Europe in events of this buy-in). His Day 2 is going well, chip-wise: he started the day with just 195,000 and now is up to over 1.7 million.

Some of those chips came after a player on the button moved all-in for 260,000. Hills called with {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. The button showed {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and the flop came down {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{a-Spades}, the turn {8-Diamonds} and the river {q-Clubs}.

"Nice dodge," said Andy's neighbor as he raked in the pot.

Nezhoda Double Up

Nível 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

A player in early position raised it to 65,000 and Rene Nezhoda in late position reraised all in for his remaining 500,00. The player in early position made the call putting Nezhoda at risk for his tournament life.

Rene Nezhoda: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The board ran {9-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and with that pot Nezhoda is now over a million in chips.

Eric Holt Spikes Three-Outer

Nível 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Eric Holt started the Day with a respectable 600,000 chips, but now wields a top ten stack (see below). The most recent 260,000 he absorbed came at the expense of an opponent on the button who three-bet all in over the top of Holt's mid-position open. Holt, already on around 1,200,000, made the call with {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

"You got me," he said, when he saw his opponent's {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. But who got whom was about to be flipped. The board came down {3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{a-Spades} and the field loses another to a bad beat.
