Welcome to Day 1 of Event #87: $3,000 H.O.R.S.E.

Welcome back to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and the 2019 World Series of Poker (WSOP) for Day 1 of Event #87: $3,000 H.O.R.S.E.

The WSOP is down to the final few days with just a few more events left on the schedule, and the WSOP Main Event down to a final table of nine players that will play down to just six players later this evening.

So far in 2019, there have been two H.O.R.S.E. events. In early June, Murilo Souza defeated the 751-player field to win the Event #14: $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. for the $207,003 first-place prize on a final table that included Jason Stockfish, Phillip Hui, Chris Klodnicki, and Alex Dovzhenko.

In mid-June, Greg Mueller would collect his third WSOP bracelet when he topped the 172 player field in the Event #29: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship for the $425,347 first-place prize on a final table that included Daniel Ospina, Dario Sammartino, Scott Clements, Craig Chait, Mikhail Semin, and Matthew Gonzales.

Last year, Brian Hastings won this event for his fourth WSOP bracelet when he defeated the 354-player field to capture the $233,202 first-place prize on a final table that included Andrew Brown, Tim Marsters, Jeff Madsen, Lee Markholt, Dutch Boyd, and Bruno Fitoussi.

Players will begin with 20,000 in starting chips and be playing ten 60-minute levels on Day 1 with limits beginning at 200-400. Late registration is open through eight levels (approximately midnight).
