After a Day 1a attracted 463 runners on Friday and Day 1b drew 724 players to the felt, today sees the third and final flight of the Closer get underway. Yesterday 45 players remained in contention after the bell rang at the end of Level 20 and they join the 30 survivors still in with a shot from the day before.

The tournament schedule follows exactly the same format as the first two flights, with 30-minute levels on the clock and play wrapping up after 20 levels have been completed. Breaks will follow the same format too, with a 20-minute recess after every four levels, except for the 75-minute dinner break that takes place at the end of Level 12 (around 5:40 p.m). The end of the dinner break will also signal the close of late registration (around 6:55pm).

Those who manage to find a bag at the end of today will combine with the 75 hopefuls from Day 1a & 1b on Monday 15th July at noon, when Day 2 gets underway. It is the final day of the event, meaning play will continue until a winner is crowned.

"You got it?" asked Bjorn Peterson before calling his opponents all in on a {6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} board. They turned over their cards and both players had flopped a set.

Bjorn Peterson: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Opponent: {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}

The river paired the board but not with the case three, it was the {q-Diamonds} and Peterson got a double up.

Chung Sends One to the Rail

Nível 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

In a headsup pot on a board of {q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} with about 1,300 in the middle Wilbert Chung bet 1,300. His opponent moved all in for his last 2,100 and Chung made the call.

Wilbert Chung: {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
All-In Player: {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

The dealer fanned the {9-Hearts} on the river, which gave the all-in player a pair of nines but that was no good agains Chung's top pair of queens. The all-in player was sent to the rail early in level two with still plenty of time to re-enter.
