Hands #30-34: Gagliano Doubles into Chip Lead

Nível 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Michael Gagliano
Michael Gagliano

Hand #30: Michael Gagliano raised to 60,000 from early position and Tommy Nguyen three-bet to 175,000 on his left. Gagliano folded.

Hand #31: Nguyen raised to 55,000 in the hijack and Thom Werthmann three-bet to 225,000 on his button. Nguyen folded.

Hand #32: Nguyen raised to 55,000 again and Shankar Pillai three-bet to 175,000. Nguyen called and they went to a flop of {j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{a-Clubs}. Nguyen check-called another 175,000 and they checked the {k-Hearts} turn and {6-Diamonds} river. Nguyen showed {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and Pillai mucked.

Hand #33: Andreas Klatt jammed for around 375,000 from the small blind and Gagliano conceded his big blind.

Hand #34: Brett Apter made it 55,000 from the hijack, Gagliano called from the small blind and Nguyen joined from the big.

The {q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades} was checked by all players and Gagliano led out 110,000 on the {8-Spades} turn. Nguyen raised to 315,000, forcing a fold from Apter. Gagliano tank-called.

The river was the {6-Diamonds} and Gagliano checked to Nguyen who shoved all in. Gagliano snap-called and Nguyen sighed as his {7-Spades}{5-Clubs} for a straight wasn't good enough. Gagliano turned the nut straight and rivered a flush and Nguyen had to ship another 850,000 Gagliano's way.
