After three days of play, the original field of more than 6,000 players has trimmed down to the final six tables in Event #75: $1,111 Little One for One Drop. For the third straight day, the action was wild and the eliminations rapid, with the Day 3 starting field of 412 players whittled down to only 48 by day’s end.

Mike Dentale took home the end-of-day chip lead, bagging 13,400,000. Others bagging big stacks in the Pavilion Room included Pierre-Paul Paulin (11,285,000), Zachary Donovan (11,130,000), and Jacques Maron (10,495,000).

The 412 players that started the day were already in the money, and one of the earliest Day 3 exits was Cliff Josephy, who took home $2,678 for a 365th place finish. Peter Eichhardt finished 300th for $3,014, Ian Simpson took 258th place for $3,421, Mikhail Semin finished 227th for $3,421, and Felipe Ramos finished in 224th place to take home $3,916.

Start of Day 2 chip leader Shaun Deeb had nearly 4,000,000 in chips at one point in the day, but the 2018 WSOP Player of the Year hit a tough stretch in the middle levels and was eliminated in 118th place for $4,521. Loni Harwood (68th for $8,728), Mike Sexton (73rd for $7,314), and Men “The Master” Nguyen (84th for $6,179) were among the last of the WSOP bracelet winners to leave the tournament.

The final 48 return on Thursday for Day 4, with the plan to play all the way down to a champion. Day 4 begins at 1 p.m., and play begins at Level 31 with the blinds at 80,000/160,000 with an 80,000 big blind ante.

This event could extend to a Day 5 if the champion isn’t decided Thursday, with that champion securing a WSOP bracelet and $690,686 first-place prize.

Follow all of the action with the PokerNews live reporting team as this large-field event hits its final stages, with a nearly $700,000 grand prize up for grabs.

Dentale Hits The River

Nível 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Mike Dentale
Mike Dentale

Mike Dentale opened to 250,000 from the cut off and his neighbor on the button shoved all in for roughly 900,000.

Dentale eventually made the call to discover his {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} was up against {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}.

The {6-Spades}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop sent Dentale into the lead, but the {k-Spades} turn was a gin card for his opponent.

As a spectator on the rail yelled "jack ball", seconds later the {j-Spades} landed on the river giving Dentale the best hand for a brutal knockout.

Dentale told the table "this is the first hand I've won, when I was behind" as he stacked his chips and became the chip leader.

Donovan Is On a Hot Streak

Nível 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Zachary Donovan in an earlier WOP event

The under the gun player shoved for around 300,000, Zachary Donovan was next to act and three-bet to 1,000,000.

Action folded around and the hands where tabled. Donovan's {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} was in good shape against his opponent's {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, but the {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop gave him something to sweat about.

Donovan had to fade a lot of outs, and even more when {5-Diamonds} turn came. The {4-Spades} was a total brick and a good sight for Donovan as he chipped up to more than 10 million.

Souza Surging

Nível 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Matt Souza
Matt Souza

Matt Souza is over the 6-million chip mark after winning consecutive pots.

The first saw Souza check call-on the big blind, with his cutoff opponent betting 350,000 on a {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{k-Spades} turn. The river brought the {2-Hearts}, Souza checked and the opponent checked back. Souza showed {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for the made flush, and afterward lamented his decision to check the river.

On the next hand, Souza eliminated an all-in opponent, calling a preflop shove for 610,000 and taking down the pot with {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades} against {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts} on a {q-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{j-Hearts} board.

Action was on Naor Slobodskoy who elected to re-shove from the small blind, after facing a shove from middle position.

The other players get out of the way and the cards were tabled.

Slobodskoy: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Middle Position: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

Slobodskoy had his opponent drawing dead on the turn {8-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} sending him to the rail.

Dentale Scores Knockout With Last-Second Call

Nível 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Mike Dentale
Mike Dentale

Mike Dentale, in the hijack, bet 250,000 on the turn with the board showing {q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. His opponent, on the big blind, reraised all in for 970,000 total. Dentale took his time with the next decision.

"I have absolutely no idea if you're a clown or not," lamented Dentale, who just recently sat at the table. With 1,050,000 behind, a call and a loss would have left Dentale with a critically low stack.

Clock was called, and Dentale took it down to the absolute last second before putting in the call.

Mike Dentale: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}

Dentale made the right call,and his top pair, top kicker had about 73 percent equity against the opponent's outkicked pair of aces with the spade flush draw. Dentale's hand held up through the {4-Hearts} river, and he's now up to nearly 3 million chips.

Payout Lady Luck for Laak

Nível 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Phil Laak
Phil Laak

Phil Laak had all his chips in the middle and at risk. As his left neighboring player Manish Vaswani made the call.

Phil Laak: {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Manish Vaswani: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Vaswani had Laak in pretty rough shape, but before the dealer ran the board Laak looked up and asked "are you the payout lady?"

The question was unnecessary however as he out-flopped Vaswani with {9-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. The {6-Clubs} turn and brick river secured Laak's double, and he definitely wont be needing the "payout lady" this hand.

Lewin Wins Two-Million Chip Pot

Nível 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Jamie Lewin
Jamie Lewin

With well over 300,000 in the pot and a board of {4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{a-Diamonds}, the decision was on Jaime Lewin.

His opponent, Ronald Sewell had pushed his remaining 824,000 chip stack into the middle of the table for a huge over bet.

After some time thinking and counting down his chips, Lewin finally made the call.

Jaime Lewin: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}
Ronald Sewell:{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Lewin was in rough shape as Sewell had flopped trips. With one card to come Lewin could only win if a spade came on the river without pairing the board.

Lucky enough Lewin hits a miracle {5-Spades} to win a massive pot and knock out Sewell.

Deeb's Flush Over Flush Bests Eskandari

Nível 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Shaun Deeb put out a bet for 130,000 on the river, with four clubs showing on a {9-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} board. On Deeb's left, Massoud Eskandari wondered out loud if he was on the wrong end of a cooler.

Eskandari made the call, and found out his {x-Clubs}{x-Clubs} was no good against the queen-high flush of Deeb, who held {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.
