Nasty River for Negreanu

Nível 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Daniel Negreanu in a previous event

Ryan Jones opened the action under the gun with a raise to 1,500 and Daniel Negreanu called from the hijack. Craig McCorkell called as well but from the cutoff and the players on the button and in the blinds got out of the way.

The flop fell {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and it checked to Negreanu. He took over the betting initiative with a bet of 2,000 and he was called by both opponents. The turn was {9-Diamonds} and it checked to Negreanu again.

This time he bet 7,200 but he couldn't get rid of either opponent as both called. The {q-Clubs} completed the board and all players checked. Jones showed {k-Spades}{q-Spades} for a rivered full house and Negreanu was friendly enough to show {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a flopped Broadway straight.

Nemeth Eliminated by Sheils

Nível 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Andras Nemeth
Andras Nemeth

Andras Nemeth moved all in from under the gun and saw Richard Sheils call from the cutoff.

Nemeth: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Sheils: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Board: {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Nemeth was in a flip for his tournament life but took the lead on the flop after pairing his queen. The turn card was safe for Nemeth, but Sheils saw his much-needed jack appear on the river to steal the pot from the Hungarian.

Nemeth said his goodbyes to his tablemates and Sheils moved up to 105,000.

The board was down {6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, and Justin Bonomo checked from the small blind. New to the table Ludovic Geilich bet 2,000 from the big blind, and Calvin Anderson called from the hijack before Bonomo folded.

The river card fell the {5-Spades} and Geilich bet 5,000. Anderson pondered his decision for close to 30 seconds but ultimately gave up and the Scotsman scooped the pot.
