Mercier Eliminated

Jason Mercier
Jason Mercier

Jason Mercier was just eliminated from the tournament. He got his last 8,800 in the middle in a three-way pot with 7,400 in the middle and a flop that read {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Spades}.

Mercier tabled {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs} but he was well behind against his opponent's {k-Spades}{j-Spades}. The board ran out with the {3-Diamonds} turn and {k-Diamonds} river and Mercier was sent to the rail.

Mercier arrived just in time for the $50,000 PPC but has yet to cash at this year's WSOP.

Talbot Gets Shoved On

Nível 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Parker Talbot bet from the hijack with the flop down {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and saw his opponent on the button call.

Talbot continued for 5,700 after the {2-Diamonds} hit the turn and once again saw his opponent make the call to see the {3-Diamonds} river card.

The Canadian then fired a third barrel for 3,400 and saw his opponent move all in for 11,600 just seconds later.

Talbot was sat with 40,000 behind and dwelled on his options for 30 seconds, but ultimately passed his cards to the dealer in defeat.

Elias Correctly Calls

Nível 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

The board was down {7-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{q-Spades}, and Darren Elias was facing an 8,000 bet from the player in the big blind. Elias was sat on the button and was in the tank for nearly a minute before he called.

Elias saw his opponent muck, and the American picked up the pot uncontested.

Burns Wins a Small Pot

Nível 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

The flop was {4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Kahle Burns was first to act in the big blind. He went for a bet of 1,800 and his only opponent was the player on the button. He called to see the turn.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} and Burns went for a bigger bet of 7,300 this time. His opponent didn't think about it too long before he folded his cards and Burns took the pot down.

De Meulder vs. Negreanu

Nível 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

The completed board was down {10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}, and Christophe de Meulder checked from the big blind.

Daniel Negreanu bet 6,500 into the 12,000 pot and saw De Meulder raise to 22,000.

"Got to be the ten of hearts," said Negreanu as he contemplated his next move.

The Canadian thought on the decision for 30 seconds but opted to fold.

De Meulder took in the pot, but not before showing the {4-Clubs} from his hand.

Elsewhere, Christophe's brother Matthias has not had the same luck and has departed from the event.
