Hoang Building Steadily

Nível 8 : 500/1,000, 0 ante
Kate Hoang
Kate Hoang

A player raised to 2,000 from middle position and Kate Hoang called from the small blind. Alex Foxen defended his big blind and the three saw a flop of {7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}. Action checked to the original raiser who made a continuation-bet of 2,500. Hoang called and Foxen folded.

Heads-up action checked through the {q-Hearts} turn, bringing the {k-Diamonds} river. Hoang bet 4,000 and her opponent confirmed the amount before tossing in chips to call.

Hoang tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, good for Broadway and the pot as her opponent sent his cards to the muck.

Strebkov Enters the Field

Nível 8 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Denis Strebkov was just seen taking a seat at his table with a new stack of chips and a seat card. The Russian native is looking for another deep run, having just taken third place in Event 51: $2,500 Mixed Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or Better, Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo 8 or Better for his largest career cash to date of $89,744.

Another player who is near the top of the leaderboard to watch is Yuri Martins Dzivielevski, who has nearly double the starting stack midway through the eighth level of play for the day. Dzivielevski was the champion of that same tournament, earning his first career bracelet and the first place prize of $213,750.

Teska Triples With Treys Full

Nível 7 : 400/800, 0 ante
Roger Teska
Roger Teska

There was four-way action on a flop of {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} with a player from middle position all in. Action was on the cutoff, who had a bet of 3,000 in front of him already. He folded, putting action onto Roger Teska on the button who had a bet of 15,000 already out. He called all in for less than the original shove to put action on the small blind, who was the final player in the hand. The small blind asked for a count and ultimately made the call.

Small Blind: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Middle Position: {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Roger Teska: {5-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

Teska was in the lead with a set of threes but both of his opponents had outs to hit straights and/or low hands. He was in shock, however, that not a single player had a flush draw.

The board ran out in his favor, {9-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and he earned the triple up. The small blind took down a small side pot with queens and nines while the player from middle position became one of only a few casualties in the tournament thus far.
