Vitch Enters the Field

Nível 1 : 100/200, 0 ante

Chris Vitch was recently seen taking his seat at Table 427 directly to the left of Cliff Josephy. He was quite pleased upon arrival to see that the tournament was to be played with eight players per table rather than nine.

On one of his first hands, Cliff Josephy raised to 600 from middle position and Vitch called from the hijack. George LInkenback was on the button and also made the call and the flop came {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. All three players checked, bringing the {2-Spades} turn. Josephy checked again and Vitch bet 1,000. Linkenback and Josephy both made the call and all three players proceeded to check the {k-Spades} river to take the hand to showdown.

Josephy announced aces as he showed {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Clubs}, prompting mucks from Vitch and Linkenback as he took down the pot.

With action six handed, Cliff Josephy was in the cutoff and called a raise from the under-the-gun player. The player on the button and the small blind both called and action went four ways to a flop of {9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Action checked to Josephy, who bet 2,500 and received only one call from the original raiser.

The turn came {3-Hearts} and both players checked. The original raiser fired 3,500 on the river and Josephy called.

"Ace-six and ace-eight," Josephy's opponent said, stating his high and low hands, respectively as he tabled {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}.

Josephy tabled {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, good for a six high straight and a sixty-five to take down the entire pot.
