Ho Eliminated by Cartwright

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 0 ante
Maria Ho
Maria Ho

Maria Ho has hit the rail after getting short and losing the last of it in a hand against Kyle Cartwright just now.

Cartwright opened the betting to 2,000 in early position and after one call in middle position, Ho defended from the big blind.

The flop read {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Ho lead with a pot-sized bet for 6,500, which left her with 1,400 behind. Cartwright upped it again, which pushed out the other player and they turned their cards on their backs.

Kyle Cartwright: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Maria Ho: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

Both players were drawing to chop for the low pot on qualifying boards and Cartwright's pair of aces was a long way ahead of Ho's pocket fives.

The turn paired with a {4-Hearts}, reducing the low pot chance and the {10-Spades} river couldn't help Ho, who had to leave the table.

Ribkin Doubles After Hitting One-Outter

Nível 8 : 400/800, 0 ante

Jason Ribkin spoke to PokerNews just now after hitting his dream card after getting it in flush versus flush.

Ribkin ran through the hand, explaining that he'd opened to 2,000 and was called by three players. On the {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Spades} flop, it went check-check before a 7,000 bet was made. The other two players folded before Ribkin went all in and his opponent called him.

Jason Ribkin: {9-Spades}{5-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{x-}

It was nut flush versus a nine-high flush until the {8-Spades} turn changed all that, giving Ribkin the straight flush. The {k-Hearts} river completed the board and the cruel runout has left one player very short, while Ribkin is up to 63,000.
