The board read with 10,600 in the middle already. Martijn Gerrits of Team Gerrits led out for 8,000 from the big blind and the player in the cutoff was sitting in the tank. In the end, Gerrits' opponent folded and Gerrits tabled to show the bluff.

The My Stack App for updated chip counts has been disabled for this tournament as the app was built for individual players rather than team names. Players are welcome to use My Stack in all other events during the World Series of Poker.
The tournament director has explained the rules for this unique tournament once again and then instructed the dealers to shuffle up and deal with 457 entries showing on the tournament clock.

Today at 2 p.m. local time Day 1 of Event #57: $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold’em takes off which is considered as the most fun tournament of the 50th Annual World Series of Poker by some. This unique event gives players a chance to join forces in their race to win a bracelet and as a team needs to consist from two to four players, this could also be the cheapest way for someone to win their bracelet.
The tag team concept was first introduced here at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in 2016. Doug Polk and Ryan Fee defeated the 863-strong field. The second time the event was held in 2017 it was Aditya Sushant and Nipun Java who beat Pablo Mariz and David Guay heads-up when the tournament attracted 843 teams. This also meant that they won the first two bracelets ever for India. Then in 2018, it was Guiseppe Pantaleo and Nikita Luther who claimed their first-ever bracelets and $175,805 in total by defeating a record-breaking 1,031 other teams.
The 2018 edition of the Tag Team event had a star-studded line-up on the final table which included Team Ikeuchi (Kazuki Ikeuchi - Hiroki Iwata - Sho Mori), Team Loeser (Manig Loeser - Joelle Parenteau - Daniel Weinand), Team Rocha (Alex Rocha - Megan Milburn - Joanne Milburn), Team Neto (Gabriel Neto - Carlos Caputo), Team Lamphere (Adam Lamphere - Ao Chen - Yijie Zhang), Team Levy (Salah Levy - Frank Mariani - Cord Garcia), Team Koo (Bon Koo - Bienvenido Caballero), and Team Harwood (Loni Harwood - Haixa Zhang - Kelly Minkin).
This year, the event has been stretched to a four-day tournament with ten levels of play scheduled for the first two days. Each level will last 60 minutes and all teams will start with 20,000 chips. Late registration is possible for the first eight levels until approximately 10 p.m. local time. There are no breaks during the tournament except for the color-up breaks.
All teams must register together, each teammate must check in at their table prior to the end of the registration period. All teammates must play at least one round of blinds at some point in the tournament or the whole team will be disqualified. Players may tag a teammate anytime they’re not in an active hand and the payouts will be calculated based on the number of teams and distributed evenly amongst the teammates.
The PokerNews live reporting team will be chasing all the tag team action on the floor so make sure to see which team will work together the best to win their bracelets at the end of the line.
