In 2017, James Calderaro won his first WSOP bracelet when he defeated the 205-entrant field to collect the $1,289,074 first-place prize.

Amazingly, last year Calderaro nearly went back-to-back as he finished in fourth-place for $414,134. Calderaro has now just taken his seat in today's tournament and will be looking to become one of the few players to make three consecutive final tables in the same event at the WSOP.

Martini Triples Up in Three-Way All In

The cards of Julien Martini were already in the muck as the far bigger side pot was sorted out between Henrik Hecklen and Tom Hu with their cards still tabled.

Hu held and Hecklen the with Hecklen scoring a double through Hu for 114,000 with two pair on a board of .

According to Martini, Hu had raised and the Frenchman flat-called from one seat over with , Hecklen then raised the pot to 11,000 and Hu called. What followed was the jam by Martini, Hecklen raised the pot and Hu reraised the pot to create the massive three-way all in with the better end for Martini and Hecklen.
