Welcome to Day 1 coverage of Event #33: $1,500 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw.

The 2019 World Series of Poker is two weeks in and more mixed games are coming to the forefront. Today, the first pure Limit 2-7 Lowball tournament gets underway.

Since the event was changed from a $2,500 buy-in to $1,500 in 2014, the event has consistently drawn between 326 and 388 entries. However, that number is expected to rise this year as one re-entry is permitted during the registration period, which lasts for the first eight levels.

Last year, taking this event down was Austrian Hanh Tran, who captured his first WSOP bracelet by besting a field of 356 players. Tran went on to win his second bracelet at WSOP-E just a few months later.
