Saechao Eliminates Two Players

Nível 21 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

A three-way all in was in progress between Wernnie Saechao, Jonathan Alvarez and Blaise Hom.

Wernnie Saechao: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Jonathan Alvarez: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Blaise Hom: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The flop was {3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds} with Hom's kings in the lead. The turn was the {8-Spades} but the river was the {10-Hearts} handing Saechao top set and sending two players to the rail.

"Nice hit," said someone at the table.

"I'm glad it was you," Hom said to Saechao.

"I appreciate that man," replied Saechao.

Evans One Card From the Door

Nível 21 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Action folded around to Kirk Evans, and he shoved all in for his remaining chips.

After he was quickly called by Shawn Puri on the button, the players tabled their hands, which revealed that not only did Puri have a dominating overpair but that their cards shared the same suits.

Shawn Puri: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Kirk Evans: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

Luck was on Evans' side, however. The flop came {9-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and the turn of {10-Hearts} kept Puri in the lead. But the {6-Clubs} river secured Evans a priceless double-up.

Vedire Spikes an Eight to Triple Up

Nível 21 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Yashwamth Vedire moved all in for 560,000 from under the gun. It folded to Albert Chan who flat-called. The new player at the table was in the big blind and re-raised all in for 925,000.

Chan took his time counting out the extra chips needed before calling.

Yashwamth Vedire: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Albert Chan: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Big Blind: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

"I have aces," said the big blind. The flop was {6-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts} with the {2-Diamonds} coming on the turn. However, the river {8-Diamonds} improved Vedire to a set of eights, with the big blind scooping the smaller side pot to remain alive.

Elser Check-Shoves the Flop

Nível 21 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Action folded around to Dan Bowman on the button and he raised to 80,000, which got a fold from the player in the small blind, but Phillip Elser made the call from his big blind.

After Elser checked the {5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop, Bowman continued for 135,000, and was met with a quick all-in check-raise from Elser.

Bowman tanked for about thirty seconds before sending his cards to the muck, at which time Elser told him that he was originally going to three-bet preflop.

Tony Miles
Tony Miles

Tony Miles, who finished second to John Cynn in last year's World Series of Poker Main Event, winning $5,000,000 in the process has added another cash to his resume after busting out early on Day 3 of the Big 50.

Miles, who hails from Jacksonville, Florida has only cashed three times in tournaments since his career-defining result last July, but all three of those cashes were in the run-up to this year's WSOP and he's off the mark at this year's festival.

Newman Eliminated

Nível 21 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Michael Newman had secured an early double after flopping two pair, but he was all in again and had been called in two spots.

Zhiliang Qian was one of them, and bet 65,000 on a {q-Spades}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop. The other player folded and the cards were turned over.

Michael Newman: {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Zhiliang Qian: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
