Day 1b of Event #3: Big 50 - $500 No-Limit Hold’ em was an unforgettable day with masses of players from around the world that came out to play what is on pace to be the largest tournament in history. Day 1b came to its conclusion after 13 levels of play and leading the field heading into day 2b is Alexander Kartveli (892,000). Other top chip stacks include; Jordan Bane (685,000), Michael Anton (622,000), Jesse Solano (610,000), Patricia Altizer (598,000), and Azad Arazm (597,000).

Some past champions who bagged chips include WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hui (414,000) and WSOP bracelet winner and 2017 WSOP Player of the Year Chris Ferguson (345,000). Other players include Joel Smith (305,000), Viliyan Petleshkov (264,000), Jake Schwartz (257,000) and Jamie Kerstetter (115,000).

All of the remaining players from this flight will return for Day 2b on Saturday, June 1st at 7 p.m. local time to continue the battle for a WSOP bracelet and whopping $1 million guaranteed for the winner.

Day 1b saw a number of notable players in its field but unfortunately, not everyone was able to make it to Day 2b. Notables who fell short today include;Matt Affleck, Kou Vang, Allen Cunningham, and Dan O'Brien.

They along with many others will still have the opportunity to take a shot with the two Day 1 flights that remain and thanks to the re-entry element, every player that gets knocked out before the late entry closes will have the opportunity to re-buy into those flights once per flight.

Day 1c is set to continue with a massive field as it is already at max capacity. Players will take their seats tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. local time Saturday, June 1st, with Day 2b play starting play tomorrow at 7 p.m. local time. Due to the massive field, this time has been changed twice already and may possibly even change to a later time but don't worry as the PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be here to cover the action and keep you up to date with all the latest news.
