Clash of the Javiers

Nível 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Javier Gomez
Javier Gomez

Javier Gomez raised to 1,300 from the cutoff and Javier Fernandez was the only one to make the call from the button.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, Gomez check-called the 1,500 bet of Fernandez.

The turn was the {k-Spades}, Gomez checked again and Fernandez now continued with a bet of 8,500. Gomez quickly shoved and Fernandez made an even quicker call.

Javier Gomez: {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Javier Fernandez: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Both players had turned a straight but Fernandez had the better hand with the Broadway, Gomez needed an ace on the river for them to split the pot but he bricked the river when the {k-Hearts} came.

Papadopoulos vs Lampropulos

Nível 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

A call of clock was heard from the table and it appeared that Maria Lampropulos was facing a river all in bet from Kyriakos Papadopoulos of about 18,000 into a pot of 13,000.

The board read {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

The floor took a while to arrive at the table and then gave Lampropulos thirty seconds to make her decision. She stared down Papadopoulos on her direct left intently, looking for any information at all. As the countdown reached zero she folded.

Papadopoulos looked at his cards a couple of times with a smile and Lampropulos did not break her poker face when Papadopoulos showed one card, the {10-Diamonds}.

Michael Gathy

The board read {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{j-Clubs} with around 8,000 in the middle already.

Patrick Serda check-called the 6,000 bet of Michael Gathy.

The river completed the board with the {2-Diamonds} on which both players checked. Serda tabled {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for the turned pair of jacks but couldn't beat the {a-Spades}{5-Clubs} of Gathy who had hit top pair on the flop.

Gambino Flashes the Royal

Nível 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

The Royal Flush has made it's elusive appearance tonight.

The board read {q-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{6-Hearts}{k-Spades}. Chris Hunichen had put in a bet of 6,000 and was raised by AJ Gambino to about 34,000. Hunichen mulled over the decision for a while and showed an ace as he folded.

He then prompted Gambino for information who slowly flashed the {a-Spades}and then dramatically revealed the {10-Spades}, completing the biggest hand of them all.

"You gotta show the Royal!" said a player at the table.

"Wow. I would've paid you off too had you made it smaller. You got greedy" Hunichen said with a smile.
