River Bet Takes It

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Loren Klein opened to 2,800 under the gun. The player on the button called.

Players saw a flop of {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Klein checked. The button bet 3,000. Klein called. The turn brought the {5-Spades} and was checked through to the {2-Hearts} river. Klein threw in a bet of 3,300, that was enough to claim the pot.

MacDonnell Finds New Table

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Marc MacDonnell
Marc MacDonnell

Marc MacDonnell has just been moved to a new table here in the Miranda room which already included Christopher Kostoulas, Brad Albrinck, Robert Gussoni, Alberto Meran, Lior Segre, and Charlie Godwin.

MacDonnell decided to get involved immediately from the button by calling the 2,700 raise of Brad Albrinck (late position).

The flop came {j-Spades}{2-Spades}{q-Diamonds}, Albrink continued with a bet of 3,000 and MacDonnell called.

The turn brought them the {4-Diamonds}, Albrinck's continuation-bet of 7,500 was also called by MacDonnell.

The river completed the board with the {a-Hearts}, Albrinck now decided to check. MacDonnell bet 11,000 and after some careful consideration, Albrinck called. MacDonnel tabled {a-Clubs}{10-Spades} for the rivered pair of aces to take down the pot.

Right after that, Kostoulas raised to 2,700 from under the gun and only MacDonnell called.

The flop came {j-Spades}{k-Clubs}{a-Spades}, Kostoulas check-called the 3,000 bet of MacDonnell.

They both checked through the {6-Hearts} on the turn and the {a-Clubs} on the river. Kostoulas showed {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and take was enough for MacDonnell to muck.

Shortly after, Charlie Godwin was eliminated by Albrinck.

Hirschfield Makes Gryko Fold

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The board read {6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and there was about 110,000 in the middle already. Larry Hirschfield bet 40,000 from the big blind and Richard Gryko tanked for a while but then opted to fold.

Johnny Chan joined their table shortly after.

Double for Neuville

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Lee Watkinson was in the cutoff, three-betting to 8,300 over a 3,100-raise from early position. Pierre Neuville cold four-bet shoved his 37,500 out of the big blind and the action stopped at Watkinson.

"What do you have, Pierre?" he asked. Neuville smiled but didn't say a word.

"Why so much?" Watkinson tried to get some information, but Neuville remained quietly waiting for Watkinson's move.

Watkinson eventually called and Neuville was ahead with {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} versus {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

Watkinson spiked some additional outs on the {A-Spades}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} turn, but the river was the {8-Diamonds} and the former November Niner doubled.
