Israelashvili Flushes Farrell

Nível 10 : 400/800, 100 ante
Roland Israelashvili earlier this summer
Roland Israelashvili earlier this summer

Niall Farrell raised to 1,600 in early position, Roland Israelashvili called from middle position, and the big blind called, as well.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and action checked around.

The {2-Spades} hit the turn and the big blind checked. Farrell bet 2,000 and Israelashvili called.

The river brought the {10-Clubs} and Farrell checked. Israelashvili bet 5,100, Farrell folded, and the dealer pushed the pot Israelashvili's way. He showed {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for the flopped nut flush and stacked his newly acquired chips.

Hamilton Doubles Up

Nível 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

A lot of laughter could be heard from the table where Lisa Hamilton and Shaun Deeb were sitting. Deeb and Carol Fuchs, who was standing on the rail during the break of the Event #76: $3,000 H.O.R.S.E. which is down to 14 players, were kind enough to relate what had happened:

Deeb: "The flop was {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, Hamilton was all-in and had {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for the flush but she got up when she saw the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} of her opponent, not realizing she had flopped the flush."

Fuchs: "The best thing was what the dealer said though!"

As Hamilton was leaving the table, the dealer said: "You win the hand! Whats wrong with you?!"

The whole table except Hamilton's opponent chuckled and Hamilton quickly sat back down.

Lau Can Get a Fold from Ace-Queen

Nível 9 : 300/600, 100 ante

Following a 1,500-raise from the middle position, Alan Lau moved all in for 9,300 in the small blind. The original raiser tanked for a while until someone called a clock on him.

"It's hard for me to fold this hand," he said and flipped over {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}.

Konnikova Gives Up on Turn

Nível 9 : 300/600, 100 ante

Maria Konnikova was under the gun, leading out 1,500 to the pot when the {Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop arrived. She was up against a player in the cutoff and he called to see the {8-Spades} pair the board. Konnikova slowed down, checking and her opponent fired 4,000. Konnikova didn't waste much time and sent her cards to the muck.

Whittington Sends One Out

Nível 9 : 300/600, 100 ante
Blake Whittington earlier this summer
Blake Whittington earlier this summer

With about 9,000 in the middle and the board reading {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, Blake Whittington bet 5,300 from the small blind and his lone opponent called from middle position.

The {4-Diamonds} hit the turn and Whittington shoved. His opponent called to put himself at risk and the two players tabled their hands.

Blake Whittington: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Opponent: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Whittington had his opponent dominated with the bigger overpair. The {3-Spades} on the river changed nothing and Whittington took the pot to stack his opponent, putting his chip count into six-figure territory.
