Hughes Sends One Out With a Royal Flush

Nível 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

"You don't see a royal flush too often!" Lacey Jones said.

Although Jones wasn't involved in the hand, she and the rest of the table informed us that David Hughes had gotten his stack in preflop holding {A-Spades}{K-Spades} against a player with {9-}{6-} off-suit. The flop came {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{5-Spades} to give Hughes the nut flush, the {5-Clubs} fell on the turn, and the {10-Spades} river gave Hughes a royal flush to stack his opponent.

Le Can't Pull the Call

Nível 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

In the cutoff, Nam Le was facing an all-in bet of 9,775, from a player in the small blind. It was about a pot-sized shove on the {A-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Spades}{K-Clubs} turn and Le spent some time thinking about the hand. In the end, Le decided to fold and continue with around 34,000 in chips.

Ylon Schwartz earlier this summer

Action limped around five ways and the flop came {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Both blinds checked, the player under the gun bet 1,000, Ylon Schwartz called next to act, the button folded, and the small blind check-raised to 3,000.

The big blind and under-the-gun player got out of the way and Schwartz shoved over the top for 13,075, sending his opponent into the tank. After several minutes went by, he folded {8-}{7-} face-up and Schwartz took the pot.

Mu Vaults Over Fiddy

Nível 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

On the {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop Lokesh Garg and Wei Mu checked in the blinds and a player on the button fired 2,500. Garg called but Mu fired a check-raise, making it 9,700. The button got out of the way and Garg back-shoved for roughly 15,000. Mu sigh-called.

Garg had {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} and he was drawing slim against {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. The rest of the board ran out {2-Diamonds} and {3-Diamonds} and Garg sent all his chips to Mu who crossed 50,000 in chips.

Dunn Forces Out Lee

Nível 6 : 150/300, 50 ante

With around 17,000 in the middle Tara Dunn and Neng Lee made it to the river of the {5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Spades} board in a battle of late positions. Dunn fired 8,000 in the cutoff and Lee paused for a moment. Then he slid his cards towards the muck and Dunn raked in a large pot to improve her stack to 40,000 or so.

Sarkisyan Triples Up, Lakhov Eliminated

Nível 6 : 150/300, 50 ante

David Leatherman raised to 600 from under the gun and Karen Sarkisyan shoved for 6,575 from mid-position. Alexander Lakhov was up next to act in late position and put in some yellow 1,000-value chips. It was unclear if this was a call or a raise as there was some discussion if Lakhov put in 8,000 or 10,000 as there was some back and forth of chips going into the bet or back into his stack. The dealer ruled that it was a call. Leatherman tanked for a bit, cut out calling chips and looked at the remainder of his own stack. Leatherman then made the call.

Karen Sarkisyan: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Alexander Lakhov: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
David Leatherman: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Leatherman and Lakhov were playing for the side pot of 8,200 and Sarkisyan was looking good for the triple-up.

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for Sarkisyan to hold to triple up and for Leatherman to win the side pot, eliminating Lakhov in the process.

Brito Loses to McCormick

Nível 6 : 150/300, 50 ante

The player in the hijack raised to 450 and Fernando Brito on the button and Randall McCormick in the big blind called.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, McCormick checked, the hijack continued with a bet of 1,100 and both Brito and McCormick called.

The turn brought them the {10-Clubs}, both McCormick and the hijack now checked. Brito bet 3,200 and only McCormick called.

The river completed the board with the {4-Clubs}, McCormick checked for the last time. Brito put in another bet of 3,200 and McCormick called. Brito had to show {k-Spades}{j-Hearts} and was beaten by the {q-Spades}{9-Clubs} of McCormick who held two pair to win the pot.

Bach Has Kicker Problem

Nível 6 : 150/300, 50 ante
David Bach
David Bach

David Bach was in the big blind, calling a 700-raise from under the gun. The flop came down {J-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} and Bach called 1,000 to see the {8-Diamonds} turn. Then he checked again and his opponent moved all in for 3,025. Bach briefly thought about it and then flashed the {A-Spades} and folded.

"I had a kicker problem," Bach laughed.
