Keijzer Gets Value

Nível 21 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

There were about 120,000 chips in the pot and the {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} board was out when we picked up the action. Blake Whittington checked from the big blind to his lone opponent, Ronald Keijzer, who was in the cutoff. Keijzer bet 120,000 and Whittington went deep into the tank.

After several minutes, the clock was called. Tournament staff arrived at the table and told Whittington he had 30 seconds to act on his hand. Shortly thereafter, he moved calling chips forward. Keijzer tabled {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs} for eights full and Whittington mucked.

Blain Eliminates Aidinian

Nível 21 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Pallas Aidinian potted from the cutoff and small blind Dermot Blain called to see the {9-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{10-Spades} come down. Blain checked, Aidinian potted for almost all her chips and Blain set her all in.

Aidinian: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Blain: {J-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

Blain flopped a straight and while Aidinian improved to trips on the {Q-Clubs} turn, the {10-Diamonds} river sent her to the rail in 21st place.

Lewis Gives Up on River

Nível 21 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Richard Hu opened to 41,000 under the gun and Romain Lewis flatted from the button. They checked the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and the {Q-Hearts} turn saw Hu fire 41,000. Lewis called and the {3-Hearts} river completed the board. Hu cut out a bet of 150,000 and Lewis immediately threw his cards away.

Le Stacks Bolotin

Nível 21 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

With a substantial pot already brewing after a bet and call on the flop and the board reading {J-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}, Tommy Le bet the pot to put Alex Bolotin to a decision for his stack and he called to put himself at risk.

Tommy Le: {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Alex Bolotin: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Le had two flush draws but his clubs weren't live since Bolotin had the ace-high club draw in addition to his overpair. The {10-Spades} fell on the river to complete the spade flush, so Le took the pot to send Bolotin to the payout desk.

Galfond Folds to Depa

Nível 21 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Jonathan Depa raised the button to 27,000 and Phil Galfond called from the big blind.

The flop came {Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Galfond checked. Depa bet 19,000 and Galfond called.

The turn brought the {4-Spades} and Galfond checked. Depa bet again, 47,000 this time. After some consideration, Galfond folded, and Depa took the pot.

Rob Salaburu was spotted standing up from the adjacent table and making his way out of the tournament area while this hand was in progress.

Parker and Wall Chop It

Nível 21 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Brock Parker potted under the gun as big blind Richard Hu was still missing. Grant Wall called on the button and called when Parker shoved the rest on the {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop.

Parker: {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Wall: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

Both players had a pair of jacks and they weren't able to improve on the {4-Hearts} turn and {4-Diamonds} river so they chopped it up.

Bohlman and Galfond Look for Summer Double in Event #69: $3,000 PLO 6-Max

Phil Galfond
Phil Galfond

The 21st century hasn't seen a year without celebrating a multiple WSOP bracelet champion. David Bach and Nipun Java joined those ranks last year, snagging two golds apiece in Las Vegas. With just over a week left in the main series, there's yet to be a double champion crowned this summer.

Scott Bohlman had been swinging and missing for 13 years until he finally found his way to capturing his first gold this summer. Then he almost doubled down, adding a second-place finish. Now Bohlman is trying hard again, leading last 24 players in the Event #69: $3,000 PLO 6-Max. Not only to extend the streak of single-season double champions but also to take home the juicy $475,033 top-prize.

With the Main Event unconventionally slated two weeks before the end of the series, the cameras will be all heavily concentrated in the Amazon Room. That will leave the PLO players in peace as they're scheduled to play their final day in the Miranda Room. But it's almost guaranteed that if the Main Event wasn't overlapping, the PLO would get a ton of TV attention.

The final four tables are packed with tons of big names, including high stakes legend Phil Galfond who has already topped the $10k PLO8 Championship this year. Galfond will join Bohlman in the pursuit of becoming the first 2018 double winner. While Bohlman brings over 130 big blinds to the tables with 1,570,000 in chips, Galfond will have a much tougher start with 274,000.

But Galfond has already made it to the throne three times so he surely knows how to proceed in the final stages of a WSOP event. Another three-time champ in the field is Brock Parker, whose belongings are even thinner than Galfond's. The rest of the competition offers several other decorated players such as Jan-Peter Jachtmann, Martin Kozlov, Tommy Le and Christopher Frank. So joins us for the final day coverage as the PokerNews live report continues at 2 p.m. local time.
