Mike Leah scored his first points for the 2018 WSOP Player of the Year race in the $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo event, but his attempt at a gold bracelet ended in 30th place.
There was three-way action between Leah, Jesse Simonelli and Denny Axel on a

turn. Simonelli bet all in for 16,000, Leah called, Axel put a bet on top of it and Leah called the extra 20,000 as well.
On the
river, Leah's final 8,000 went in as well.

Axel was the only player with a pair to claim the high half. Both Axel and Simonelli had the nut low, ousting Leah's ace-trey. Simonelli got three-quartered, was left behind with 46,000 and lost those chips shortly after to finish in 29th.
