The unofficial seven-handed final table is all that remains after Day 2 of Event #29: $1,500 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw. Seven players are left in the hunt for the gold bracelet with Hanh Tran out front and some familiar faces giving chase.
Tran was a wrecking ball on Day 2, climbing to the top of the ranks early on in the day and maintaining the lead by eliminating player after player. Hailing from Austria, Tran is making just his second cash of his WSOP career which came all the way back in 2014 in this very event. Tran finished 18th that year banking $5,125 and already improved on that finish.
Still left in the fight are Cody Wagner, Brian Hastings, David Prociak, Oscar Johansson, Jared Blexnick, and Yong Wang.

Day 2 Action
Day 2 kicked off with 86 players returning and only 54 of them making the money. The likes of 2018 bracelet winners Philip Long and Andrey Zhigalov, along with Dzmitry Urbanovich, Scott Clements, Bryce Yockey and Calvin Anderson, all saw their stacks dispersed before the money.
It took only two levels for the field to reach the money bubble and only a few hands of hand-for-hand play went by before the bubble popped. Aliaksei Boika had Randolph Jensen at risk with an eighty-six perfect. Jensen was drawing live to a seventy-five but paired his deuce and was eliminated in 55th place.
Boika himself would only make it as far as 24th place, collecting $3,799. Other notables to leave with some consolation on Day 2 included Yueqi Zhu (50th - $2,243), Allen Kessler (49th - $2,243), David "ODB" Baker (40th - $2,485), Jon Turner (39th - $2,485), and Shaun Deeb (19th - $3,799).
The field converged to three tables and play slowed as the stacks grew deeper. The 2018 $1,500 2-7 Single Draw champion, Daniel Ospina, saw a second deep run come to an end with a 17th place finish that netted the Colombian $4,680. Just after the final two tables were formed, David "The Dragon" Pham would fall, busting in 12th place, adding another $5,953 to his stellar WSOP resume.
Phillip Hui (11th - $5,953), Frank Kassela (10th - $7,809), Chris Vitch (9th - $7,809), and Jeremy Heartberg (8th - $10,555) would all be eliminated in the final level of the night setting an unofficial final table of seven.
The remaining players will return on Friday to play down to a winner with the action resuming at 2 p.m. Play will begin in Level 21 with blinds at 5,000/10,000 and limits at 10,000/20,000.

On first draw Hanh Tran drew three and Jeremy Heartberg drew one. Tran checked, Heartberg bet, Tran raised and Heartberg called.

After the third draw and with over 140,000 in the middle of a threeway pot between Yong Wang, Oscar Johansson, and Brian Hastings, Johansson checked and Hastings bet. Wang went into the tank and eventually found a call. Johansson folded.
Hastings announced he had a pair and Wang quickly tabled a to claim the sizeable pot.

Chris Vitch found himself down to his last 22,000 and he raised. It folded to Jeremy Heartberg in the big blind.
"I don't know what I'm supposed to do here," said Heartberg, before three-betting. Vitch called and was all in.
After three-betting, Heartberg drew five. Vitch drew two.
On the second draw Heartberg drew two and Vitch one.
On the final draw, Heartberg stood pat and Vitch drew one.
"Am I drawing dead?" asked Vitch.
"I have a nine," said Heartberg, showing .
"I'm drawing dead," replied Vitch, showing . He drew a to complete his nine but was nevertheless eliminated by his roommate, who he instantly headed over towards.
"Tell everyone that Jeremy Heartberg three-bet and drew five," said Vitch, before heading to the payouts.

Frank Kassela made it two bets under the gun and Yong Wang called out of the big blind. Wang drew two and Kassela swapped one.
Wang check-called a bet from Kassela and drew one while Kassela stood pat. Wang check-called again and then stood pat.
Kassela decided to break announcing he was tossing a ten and Wang checked.
Kassela moved all in for 15,000 which sent Wang into the tank.
Several moments went by before he made the call, practically putting the calling chips on top of Kassela's bet sitting in front of him.
Kassela, assuming he must have been good, tabled an but Wang quickly flipped over a better eight with an .
Kassela said his goodbyes and departed in 10th place.

Phillip Hui raised and Hanh Tran re-raised. Hui called. Both players drew two. Hui bet, Tran raised and Hui called.
Both players drew one and Hui check-called a bet. Hui drew one on the end and Tran stood pat. Hui check-folded to a bet from Tran.
"I had sevens full of threes in the big blind," said Chris Vitch, "I was going to make a move."
The very next hand Vitch raised in the small blind and Hui was all in for 15,000 from the big blind.
The pair both drew two on the first draw, and Vitch drew two on the second draw with Hui standing pat.
On the final draw Vitch stood pat and Hui broke to draw one.
