The official numbers are in and with 356 entries on Day 1, a prize pool worth $480,600 was created. The top 54 spots will get paid with anyone making the money guaranteed at least $2,243.

Awaiting the eventual champion is, of course, a shiny, new WSOP gold bracelet and a top prize worth $117,282.

The player under-the-gun made it two-bets, Chris Ferguson called in the small blind and the big blind then made it three bets. The under-the-gun player then made it four-bets, Ferguson called and the big blind capped it at five bets with both players calling.

Ferguson drew two and the other players each drew one. The under-the-gun player then bet with Ferguson and the big blind calling.

On the second draw, Ferguson opted for two cards again with the others each drawing one and the action checked around.

On the third and final draw each player drew one with Ferguson betting all-in for his last 1,200 with the big blind being the only caller.

Ferguson revealed {8-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and despite the last minute registration has quickly tripled the 7,500 starting stack.

The player in the cutoff made it two bets, David Baker made it three on the button and the player called. They both opted to draw two.

The cutoff bet and Baker called. On the second draw, each of them drew one with Baker calling a bet from the cutoff once more.

On the final draw, the cutoff patted with Baker opting to draw one more. The player in the cutoff then check-called a bet from Baker.

Baker rolled over {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} for a number three and the player mucked as Baker leads the field towards the end of Day 1.
