Tuhrim Shows the Bluff

Nível 6 : 200/400, 0 ante

We arrived at the table when there was a full board showing {7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. Richard Tuhrim bet pot, which was about 23,000, and the player in the one-seat had a decision to make.

After a while, the player folded and the table pressured Tuhrim into "showing the bluff."

Tuhrim wasn't too eager to show his hand, but after his tablemate convinced him it was good for the game, he opened up {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}.

With the clock ticking down to 243 players left in the tournament, we lost a lot of notable players. The late registration period is still open until the end of the dinner break, which will be at approximately 6:55 p.m.

We're not going to see these players back, with no option to reenter the tournament.

Bertig Makes the Call

Nível 6 : 200/400, 0 ante

The board read {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and action was checked to Brian Bertig who bet 7,000 into a pot around 8,600. The big blind opponent check-raised all in for 21,725 and Bertig thought for several moments before making the call.

His opponent tabled {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for one pair with a flush draw and Bertig showed {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for two pair with a straight draw. The river fell the {4-Clubs} and Bertig's two pair held on for the pot.

Tuhrim the Big Stack

Nível 6 : 200/400, 0 ante

At this point, there are 270 players remaining in the tournament, which gives it an average stack of 17,300. In the silver section of the Brasilia room is a gentleman sitting with 110,000 in front of him on the table. Richard Tuhrim is the owner of the mountain of chips and is most likely the chipleader of the tournament at this point.

Medallion Wins Big Three-Way All-In

Nível 5 : 150/300, 0 ante

Vincent Bartello, Bobby Medallion, and a third player got all their chips in the middle before there were any community cards dealt on the table. Half of the table was standing out of excitement, including Noah Schwartz.

Bobby Medallion: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Vincent Bartello: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Third Player: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} and Medallion scooped the whole pot, propelling him up to a nice stack. Bartello got eliminated and the other player still had chips left.
