Jorryt van Hoof raised to 1.2 million from early position, Andoni Larrabe called from middle position, and Billy Pappas called from the big blind to see the flop come down paired with the . Play checked to Larrabe, and he bet 1.6 million. Pappas folded, and then van Hoof followed suit, and Larrabe won the pot.
Back in July, 6,683 entrants ponied up $10,000 for the 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event. Unlike any other year, there was a guaranteed first-place prize on the event this time around, and that figure was a whopping $10 million.
Fast forward to today, Monday, Nov. 10, and there are just nine players left in contention. Those nine had a long, hard-fought battle to make it to the final table, but they've all made it to poker's biggest stage with hopes of shining brightest.
