Event #63: $1,500 Six-Handed 10-Game Mix
Dia 1 Iniciado
There are only two events left before the $10,000 Main Event on the 2014 World Series of Poker schedule, and Event #63: $1,500 Six-Handed 10-Game Mix is one of them.
Ten-game was first introduced at the 2011 WSOP - it was the first time badugi was ever played during a bracelet event - and Chris Lee outlasted 430 opponents to win $254,955. In 2012, Vanessa Selbst was the victor, topping a field of 421 to earn $244,259, and last year it was Brandon Wong who bested a field of 372 to win $220,061.
The 10 games are of course no-limit hold'em, pot-limit omaha, no-limit 2-7 single draw, limit hold'em, Omaha eight-or-better, razz, stud, stud hi-lo eight-or-better, 2-7 triple draw, and badugi.
This year the buy-in was reduced to $1,500, and with players coming to down for the Main Event the field size is primed to be in the 400's once again.
The cards will be in the air shortly, so be sure to stay tuned for live updates from the event.

Opponent:
We picked up with the action on fifth street to see Naoya Kihara heads up with an opponent. Kihara's opponent fired a bet and Kihara tossed out a call. Both players paired sixth street with Kihara making sevens and his opponent pairing nines. Kihara checked, his opponent fired once more, and Kihara stuck around.
Both players checked seventh street and Kihara fanned for a ten-seven low. His opponent mucked and Kihara took down the pot.
