Day 1a of the Little One For One Drop Ends With 351 Players

The Little One for One Drop, the smaller sibling of the Big One for One Drop, kicked off on Wednesday afternoon in the Brasilia Room of the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and attracted a bumper crowd of players, many of whom took advantage of the unlimited reentry policy made available for this event.

Among the scores of players who chose Day 1a as their start day were the likes of Jason Wheeler, Jason Helder, DJ MacKinnon, Barry Shulman, Darren Elias, Chris Moorman, Timothy Reilly, Frank Rusnak, Melanie Weisner, and many more.

Wheeler was one of the top stacks in the room to end the night, but it was Cuong Van Nguyen to finish on top with 91,000 in chips.

Some of those who will need to buy in on Thursday's Day 1b because they busted this flight include Erik Seidel, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi, Amanda Baker and JC Tran. Tran actually busted six times during the eight hour-long levels.

Day 1b commences at Thursday at 12 p.m. local time and the plan is to mirror that of Day 1a — eight one-hour levels with a 20-minute break after each level. Late entry and reentries are permitted to the end of the sixth level and that should make for a monster-sized field like that of 2013.

Until then, it is goodnight from the PokerNews Live Reporting team.
