Another Bustout by Salsberg

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Matt Salsberg raised from the cutoff and Sean Getzwiller moved all in for what looked like 60,000 in chips. All other opponents folded and Salsberg had an easy call with the {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}. Getzwiller was already drawing dead after the turn of a {J-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts} board and had a quick chat with Steve Gross before exiting the tournament area.

Fischer Busts Gil

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Bastian Fischer moved all in for 112,000 from middle position and one seat over, Ronny Gil did so as well with slightly less chips. All other opponents folded and they turned over their cards.

Fischer: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Gil: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, giving the German a flush and pretty much doubling up his stack in the process.

Bad River Sends Frampton into Pain

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

On the {8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop, Matt Salsberg bet and Matthew Frampton raised to see WPT champion call. Salsberg then bet 60,000 on the {J-Hearts} turn and Frampton called before Salsberg made it 100,000 to go when the {7-Hearts} river appeared.

Frampton didn't snap call but tossed in a chip and then mucked {7-Clubs}{7-Spades} as second best hand to the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} of Salsberg.

Milne In A Gross Spot

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Richard Milne
Richard Milne

Steve Gross and Richard Milne seem to be having a game to themselves for that last couple of hand. Milne has position on Gross and had just tangled in a hand where he bet 45,000 on the river of a board reading {5-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

Gross thought for some time, clearly reluctant to release his hand but in the end he did. As Milne was gathering the chips Gross questioned him on whether had got there on the river. Was it a flush perhaps, or a straight? Milne remained tight lipped.

On the very next hand Gross opened for 16,000 and Milne three-bet him to 40,000. Gross made the call and they went to a heads up flop of {q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. Both players checked to see a turn card {j-Spades}. Gross then bet 35,000 and this time Milne did show, turning over the {a-}{k-}. Gross returned the favour by showing his {a-}{q-}.

Hart Goes the Hard Way

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

There was a raise and one call, Shaun Hart called from the button and Mike Kachan tossed in the extra chips out of the big blind. On the {J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop, the action checked to Hart and he bet 31,000. That was only called by Kachan and Hart then moved all in after the {4-Clubs} turn.

Kachan checked his options for a while and ultimately mucked his cards, claiming to have had {J-Spades}{2-Spades}. Hart said he had "a big jack with a flush draw" and that he would have been in very good shape if Kachan had called.
